  1. Your right John, if someone challenged this in court I think they would have a strong case, they have a legal and ligitamate system of verifying there time in and also it is within SHU rules, this new rule is outwith the SHU rules which makes it null and void, as we all at the end of the day run under the SHU, so the SNFC could have a headache if challenged on this issue, IMO
  2. Here, here, there is enough sh@te going on without creating more, good luck for 2016 everyone.
  3. What is the securtiy risk? If someone has found a way to cheat, they must have found a way to deliver their clock to the marking station with a ligitamate time in, so phoning in wouldn't stop this, they would do what ever it is they are doing and just phone in within the hour?? or an I missing something?
  4. But why does it have to go through? like I said the committee must have concerns about the current security that this action will solve, other wise there is no justification in having it, we need to keep members and the risk of good birds losing ligitamite positions and performances will only drive them away. Does anyone know what is driving the committee to propose this?
  5. How does this work if someone who works shifts and has purchased a very expensive ETS system to time in, in his absence and now finds his birds will be thrown out on a technicality, even though he has a legal ligitamite means of proving his time in? Also what about for instance the longest race and it's a toughy, a lot of second or third day birtds are timed in off the pace but still in the result, but members might be away from the loft when the bird arrives after flying 600plus miles and could get thrown out because he didn't phone within an hour? I don't see why we need this unless someone can prove we have a security issue with the present system that I'm not aware of that this would sovle?

Glad I didn't go, I might have been able to buy the shavings from the pens, lol. another well supported sale from one of the greats.
  7. In one hand I agree and in the other I don't, once we showed race birds at Larkhall and all tickets were given to star and garter rung birds?? and we have never shown since then as we were sickened as the show guys have there own classes and I blamed the judges as much as the guys showing for entering them in this class, but I have judged a couple of shows this year and some of the classes had dipped birds in, but as a judge it's hard enough picking the best without seperating dipped from not dipped, I have had birds before that people would have said they are dipped and I knew they were racers, so I just pick MY fancy and that is that, if you want judges to filter everything or get critisised then you will soon run out of judges.JMO
  8. When it comes to the SNFC young bird race all wing stamps had to be blotted out with a black permenant marker, this amounts to the same thing as you have (different colour but a mark.
  9. My dog is a wreaking ball and would be worse than a cat in the loft ( I never had him as a pup)
  10. Cheers

  16. What is the postcode of Drongan Community Centre?

  19. Great day as usual in Ayrshire, some quality birds on show and great hospitality and banter, a great day out, well done the organisers and winners.
  20. Like most I have studied it a bit and still get the eye glass out in fact we were spraying our birds last week and I had a look at most eyes at the same time, and the best eye I saw IMO was a stock hen who bred my yearling cock who flew Claremont this year. So I do still have a look even though I'm not 100% convinced about the theory. For the shows look for an eye that sticks out as being totally different from the norm and looks as bright and as 3d an appearance as possible and you won't go far wrong, I hope you win a ticket .
  21. The best eyes in anyones loft is their own, but if you want to see what all the fuss is about, then google it and you will find lots of pictures of eyes.
  22. I'm sure it will be the best young one you have ever bred.
  23. The same thing happened to us, we send a two year old hen to the Gold Cup this year, but she never made it home, we got her reported 3 months later by a fancier who was clearly keen to keep her, he said he was just back from a holiday and she was their, in great nick??, she was my best yearling aswell, but no good to me now so he won, after agreeing to let him keep it, I felt we should have got her home, we were raging, this happens all the time.
  24. I thought you wern't pairing up until February lol Just became a gran parent, it's a great feeling, well done.
