Snrpc Race Program
Rooster J. Cogburn replied to hotrod's topic in Clubs/Organisations Topics & Events
Yes the thought of having 5 channel races over four weeks is very appealing. Not many lofts around could cover this mind you The SNFC AGM has a lot to do with the sudden increase in SNRPC membership. The Region row and the one loft race are all contributing factors as well.Only an opinion On top of all that the SNRPC has an appealing programme, better suited marking stations for some areas of the country, good transport arrangements and from the outside looks to be a well run affair. Will it become Scotland's biggest national racing organisation?Only time will tell One thing I notice is the longest race is to be decided.Would love to see them go with the MNFC/Cumbrian lads thus going up at the same time as the SNFC doos from Tours -
Snrpc Race Program
Rooster J. Cogburn replied to hotrod's topic in Clubs/Organisations Topics & Events
I'm sure there are other factors as well Stuart. Won't go banding statements around without any evidence, but if I were a betting man I'd put money on the SNRPC having a record entry in their YB race -
Been on a lot of loft visits over the last few years and its not often ye come across fanciers who could claim to have their own 'strain'.Few and far between, impressive when ye see it mind you "Make your own doos" is what one such fancier told me

Ets V Clock

We're in the minority in the club now that don't have ETS.Some members using Unikon, some Bricon. Thought about getting Unikon last year, but seeing as we'd need 3 pads the price is a bit off putting. The Bricon one does look a good system, cheaper than Unikon and no members have ever had bother with it.Easier to use at marking as well. Undecided, but if we are to get it will need to act soon. No mains power at the lofts for the start of the season so we'll probably put it off another year.Lost a few positions to it the last couple of seasons though -

I used to be quite good at sexing young pigeons by listening to the noises they made, but I seem to have lost that ability as I've gotten older
