  1. Don't think we'll have to worry too much about whether it's Newbury,Eastbourne or Maidstone next year. The first inland race is on it's a* se and the ref is counting to ten
  2. Ye must have caught me on a good day
  3. Depends what you call hard races Peter? If your thinking along the lines of Messac 2011,Bourges, Niort 2012, Rennes 97 etc. Jock King takes a bit of beating
  4. Theres a member on the site who will know Gareth and his late father's stats better than anyone Theres a couple who will know Davy's a lot better than myself as well. He was 2nd Open in the hard Rennes race John Bosworth won with 'The Graduate' and he has won the west section twice in the last three seasons,he raced two Gold Award winning hens that I believe were grandmother and granddaughter?. Without raking through books at this time of night I will leave it at that
  5. Don't think Davy Donaldson will be too far away from 7 either Maybe 5 or 6??
  6. Jim Hannah has won the West Region 7 times from France in the SNFC. Won't be too far off the record I wouldn't think. From memory these are the open positions won by his region winners 2nd Open Sartilly 2nd Open Chenoise 4th Open Rennes 4th Open Andrazel 5th Open Alencon 13th Open Rennes 26th Open Sartilly I'm pretty sure Gareth and his father have won it more than 5 times as well. Including one of the greatest performances within the SNFC-Champion 'Westbound'.
  7. Arguably of all time Well done John and all
  8. Well done L & C excellent Good to see the Northwest fed lads up there as well, Well done men.
  9. Well done Mick Excellent flying Well done to Moscow Master,Neuky,Novo and Bluebell
  10. Superb pigeon Derek. Sorry to hear he's gone and hope your memories of him live on through his children and grandchildren. The only bird I can think of off the top of my head that won a SNFC Gold award scoring from five different race points is 'Classic Lass' bred and raced by Jock King. She scored from Rennes,Messac, Sartilly, Chenoise and Reims.
  11. I should add I am in no way decrying the fanciers and birds who timed. Some excellent performances on Saturday
  12. After the 2013 AGM it was clear the Newbury race had the noose round it's neck. I think we'll witness the hanging at the 2014 meeting. Broken record here It's one of the worst things to happen to cross channel and inland racing in Scotland.
  13. Well done to Billy Alves on his second fed win of the season and Well done to the Gartur team on winning the North Section
  14. Save us two or three spaces on the Midland transporter for the coming young bird season Well done Lumsden and Colligan
  15. well done to all the PB members who have timed A well done to my clubmate Hughie Menzies who has the best time I've heard in the fed. As well as ScottyM and Tambla
  16. I'm just down from the dookit, panicked a wee bit. Re calculated and for the NW fed to be on par with this the back of one is when we should be timing.
  17. Mustn't be too much North in the wind Will have to have re think about our predicted arrival times and get up the dookit to watch for the Peterborough doos.
  18. Scab!Scab!Scab!Scab!Scab!Scab!Scab! Just joking Good luck Gareth and all who have entered. My own Sec John McNeill, Jim Smith or Lumsden and Colligan. Adjacent Sec E H Menzies Open-Mr and Mrs J Graham, G Grant & son or W Bilsland. Hope yous all have a good race
  19. Not a good idea in my eyes. I actually think some of the losses to hawks in the spring and the losses of birds racing in the early part of the season would be less if more fanciers had their birds out all winter. This is just my opinion and only based on personal experience, circumstances and theories.
  20. Had to work round this last year. I had doos come back from Ypres I wanted for Clermont, by the time it came to basketting they were on about 6 eggs each and sitting close to 30 days
