I thought of the idea as soon as I saw it in the BHW but I have had no birds home hawked this year since our local sparrow hawk went away in MARCH. Don't have a clue what happened to her! Every fancier in the country should do it! I think publicity is the key.

There was an article in the BHW last week that said a court in Europe had said that racing pigeon keepers can now claim compo for loss of birds from the state. I see you are in Aberdeen so why don't you take photos of the injured birds and send them down to the 1/2 billion monstrosity in Edinburgh and try to make a claim, quoting the court in Europe. Copy in big Alex. You may not get compo but it may give us some good publicity in the papers or TV.

The most I've seen is loads of wood doos. As far as I know the the whole club has only got about 8 or 10 birds. I was talking to one of the men who flies with the Ayrshire North Road and they have been hammered as well.
