I'm no sure Tam but my thinking is if its a Fed run race it would count. I canny see anything about there only being 6 races to the program or that only 6 would count in averages. Think Budgie could ask George about how that would work because if anyone knows its George Kelly.

For what it is worth this is my take on the rule. Firstly i think the doos should go to Thirsk this weekend. Secondly there SHOULD be a race from Otterburn the following week. I say this because there is NO REFERENCE to a start date or importantly in this case finishing date for our season, it simply states the birds will be sent to the subsequent race the following week. It doesn't refer in anyway to it being a different case if its the first or last race so on the face of it there should be an Otterburn AFTER Thirsk. JMO on the subject. Ps. That is my take on the rules but i stand to be corrected

Part of the problem with not producing players starts at youth level where boys at 10 11 12 are lambasted for making a wrong pass or no going in hard enough or running fast enough and especially for trying something fancy that disnae quite come off, you name it they get slaughtered as if they were already pro's. The result of this is the boys rap it because they are sick being shouted at or their confidence is destroyed to the extent they can't play freely. I've said for years that the "coaches" who are supposed to be developing the kids knock the flair and imagination out of them before they even get to 18 or 19. jmo

Well i'm finished for the year and have no vested interest where they go to, so i'll sell my vote to the highest bidder by 6pm Wednesday

I think this crop of young players will match up to Giggs Beckham Scholes Butt etc. Think Fergie is developing them to play like Barcelona, on the back of the Champions league final result, he knew they were 2nd best to the style of them that night so he's gonna match it. Jmo.

The president called me and he is calling a meeting for WEDNESDAY Night at the Beltane Bowling club to discuss the whereabouts of next weeks race. I suggest EVERYONE with an interest in this should let their club delegate know their wishes BEFORE the meeting!!! ATB. Delegates will of course be lettered with the time and date of the meeting, this thread is NOT OFFICIAL notice. Ps. There will only be ONE RACE so sending one transporter to Otterburn and one to Thirsk is NOT ON THE AGENDA.
