Evidence in some Lanarkshire lofts that the Jan Grondolaers are the best sprinters, though G W & P Macaloney are racing Vandenbelle's and they are virtually impossible to beat at times, mind you wee George could motivate streeters to win

I can scarcely believe what i'm reading, a great wee man with a heart of gold who i spoke with yesterday. So sad to hear this. I just hope his wife is coping she'll be devastated, my thoughts and condolences to all the King family and friends of whom there are many.

Lanarkshire Fed Race Program 2012
JohnQuinn replied to JohnQuinn's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
Due respect Andy but what good would that do? Its only useful if we had Met Office equipment to predict the forecast, without it we're back to doing it the way we do now. IMO its all one what we do, we WON'T get better than Jim Hannah. -

Lanarkshire Fed Race Program 2012
JohnQuinn replied to JohnQuinn's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
I'm against any outsider doing our race controlling Andy, we are the biggest Fed in the country and there are plenty of capable men to do the work in the Fed. The problems will remain the same regardless of who is doing the controlling, as soon as there is a bad race, and there WILL be bad races, the members will be screaming for blood, an outsider would just tell us he's off when the criticism started and that would mean finding a replacement mid season. No doubt the job would quickly become a poison chalice that no one wants, member or outsider alike. jmo mind! -
Like your post Brian very simple to follow for anyone who is unsure what to do. What i will say about getting the doos ready is that when my doos are flying out regularly in the winter they have done MUCH better in the show pen compared to when they are kept in for weeks on end. Think this keeps the Fat down and the muscles firmer for the handling classes. jmo

Lost a fantastic Ck out of Elvanfoot in 1992 when getting him ready for the coast race, so there have been plenty hawks about there for Years, best keep clear of it. jmo.

Despite the big squad Liverpool have now, if Gerrard had missed this game Utd would have routed them. He is by far the best midfielder England have and drives a team on, great player and irreplaceable in that team. When he disnae play Liverpool look ordinary. jmo

Think that is Wullie Gilchrist's lassie, ATB and i hope she has a good day

Canny wait for the shows to start, great night out and terrific RAFFLE prizes to be won

I also think a working group Should be formed to look at the constitution and rules of the Fed as i think its out dated and being rode over too often. Its all very well precedents being set that are contrary to the constitution but imo it should Never happen. If a member has a proposal that is against the rules of the Fed then it should be preceded with the necessary proposal to change the rule first. JMO mind!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence lads its appreciated. My own thought is that the club Delegates should meet before the AGM and put a program together that reflects the members wishes from all over the fed. I do NOT think they should DECIDE where we go but the proposed program would at least be feasible unlike Many of the proposals at the moment

Done that once Tony, when i opened the basket in the morning ma doos had oily spots over them fae being too warm, Show Over
-
Get them clean and free from parasites. After that i pick the best conditioned birds in my team the morning of the show. Just like in racing season the doos come into "form" during the winter too, so some weeks i take completely different birds from the week before because they have come into top condition since the last outing and the ones taken the first week might have lost a little in that time.
