John they are from my number 3 Stock Pair BeverdamXDale Newcombe Hen who is a Granddaughter of Bankton Belle 1st&9th Open SNFC Newbury. The number of club and Fed WINNERS from this pair are remarkable and i would think twice about letting them go as they are up there in the 2 % but at the end of the day its your call. They are also SIRE &DAM to The Bullet and Class and 2 of our winners this year. The above is what Andy Eadie (BUDGIE) wrote to me confirming the breeding of these birds. They are 2009 nest brother and sister. As i have no idea what price to put on their heads i will accept bids either on here or by Pm if preferred. BIDDING WILL CLOSE AT 6pm SUNDAY 30th OCTOBER. 1st 2 pics of hen other 2 of the Ck. Taken today.

If more fanciers Believed they could WIN the Gold Cup itself, we would get more entries. As it is most fanciers i know want to top their Fed from the channel race, and believe they can, so they send a bigger team to this race every year trying to attain the attainable. Also we have to accept that in an ever changing and demanding world people don't have the Time to wait for national birds coming, and if they canny SEE their birds returning why send, so increasing membership is well nigh Impossible. Its the members now who need to send more entries and getting them to do it isnae easy when most of them know they canny Win the race because of their location. jmo.

Yes John but that is SNFC business nothing to do with organising and getting competition between the different organisations. Also it wouldn't necessarily be the case that the New Amalgamation IF formed would convoy with the SNFC!!
-
It was about the SNFC John, the thread was started to get a feeling of whether there is a mileage in a WOSA but there was no mention of it in the post.
-
If there are any more posts put on this thread that do not relate to it i will remove them. I suggest you's start your own thread about SNFC business.

Please take a minute and read me. In my OTHER life i am a Support Asst wth LAMH, or The Lanarkshire Assc for Mental Health. The funding for our work primarily comes from the local council. This is of course a time of cutbacks and we as an organisation are suffering as a result, so a working group has been formed to raise awareness of our work and do Fundraising, not just to sustain us at the levels we are at now but in order to develop new forms of support more suited to individual needs. I was invited to become a member of the working group and we had our very first meeting this afternoon. We got an outline of what the funding would allow us to do and the logistics of how we would operate as a group who all work in different offices. Anyway the next meeting will be more about ideas and how to transform ideas into financial contributions that can be relied upon on an ongoing basis, this i hope is where you come in. I welcome any ideas you guys have on fundraising activities that we could do to raise funds on an annual/ongoing basis. To give you a wee hint of the numbers involved, earlier this year we asked all our clients, where if they became unwell again would they like to be treated, there were 3 options offered to them, at home, in hospital or in a halfway house. In other words somewhere they have the security of company without the rigours of going into an acute hospital ward. This project could cost in the region of £500,000. Cheers, John.

I was led to believe that Lanarkshire gave up the race controlling Kenny, which was against our constitution but Andrew Shearer who was our president at the time was prepared to give it up to get the thing up and running. I don't have any real insight to how things started or ended but as far as i know Lanarkshire were keen to keep it going. I am not saying this is correct, its only what i've been told in snippets over the years.

IMO specialist clubs are about Like Minded fanciers getting together and organising meaningful competition between themselves WITHOUT FALLING OUT!!! The Lanarkshire Social Circle being one such club
-
WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH FORMING AN AMALGAMATION? you's are WAY off topic.

I believe it started in 1996 Kenny but they fell lout during the 1997 season, as if by magic there was no more mention of it, or a TRUE explanation to the members as to why they fell out.
