  1. I've never known this to happen Andy, but sure as sh=te somebody would complain if they were moved.
  2. The decision not to Hullavington was based on Federation Rules, the decision not to go to Charnock Richards or Appleby was taken around lunchtime yesterday and couldn't or shouldn't have been taken earlier. What i will say to Charlie is nobody holds a gun to any members head to race or not race their birds and your criticism/slanderous remarks about the Fed are O,O,O. You are a new member of the Fed and left the other Fed you were in to join Lanarkshire, i'm thinking maybe there ain't no pleasing you, or that if you have such strong views put you name forward for a position in the Fed and have a go at making decision that will please all of the people all of the time, atb
  3. Yeah the weather this year has been terrible and not in favour of our doos, big show at penrith cancelled for tomorrow because of flood warning on local tv tonight monsoon weather here tonight pure thunder rain . When you here things like this its as well they are only going to Longtown. The decision was based on umpteen reports similar to the one above. As i stated earlier i don't think there will be a lib tomorrow even from longtown so decided not to send on that basis. How many of your members phoned you stating they would have sent more if they knew?? And how early do you think a decision like that can be made??.
  4. Well Done Lee, you are clearly a VERY Good pigeon fancier.
  5. When i got up this mornin i wisnae sending because i was sure we wouldn't get a race, then when it got changed to Longtown i thought aye i would go, then i bottled it, and decided not to go because it was my Alencon "team" i was sending, to many question marks over the weather and i don't want involved in a hold over this close to the Big race. If the weather is favourable i will just have to go training on my own to get the fitness up, if unfavourable ain't i clever
  6. been like this since yesterday

I will be asking what happened at the meeting tomorrow, i cannot imagine some of the guys who went to the meeting keeping anything secret or allowing it to be swept under the carpet. jmo

Unfortunately i work until 8.15 on Tuesdays and was unable to attend the meeting tonight. What i would like to make VERY CLEAR is that the decisions taken with the Newbury doos were NOT made by the COMMITTEE. They were taken by A FEW of the committee but definitely not ALL of it, i myself was not consulted about any decisions taken and i'm CERTAIN that other Ordinary committee members weren't either. On this basis i Respectfully ask you to stop referring to the Committee en mass as if we are All guilty of mis-management and if need be Name the INDIVIDUALS you are talking about.
  9. Very well done Gordon, great effort fae yer doo too, Velocities tell all how hard it was
  10. Well done to all 3 fanciers and the birds, great performances all round
  11. There are rules in place to skip a race when a race has been cancelled Frank. The yearling duplication was cancelled so George was within the rules to re=run the yearling derby, at the expense of the next racepoint.
  12. Never heard of any meeting but if there was i would vote to finish the program, its what was voted for at an AGM and am no certain whether this can be changed at a delegate meeting. I stand to be corrected but AGM decisions can only be changed by calling an EGM.
  13. Congrats to all who timed, am back tae the drawing board way Budgie. Well done Tam, another great team effort following the wan ye had the other week A BIG well done to Geo1234, first season racing old birds and timing in from the most difficult race we've had and only 2 away as well, very well done mate.
  14. Anything around 1180ypm fae Salisbury will do me Brian but some others think it will be a much faster race than that. We will know by 3pm i guess
  15. Don't know Andy, i wisnae involved in it on Thursday.
  16. Aye great to see the bug still bites the young
  17. Lanarkshire are up at 6am into light w/sw wind, atb for a good race and good returns for all.
  18. Nice one Johnny and Derek, hitting form when it counts
  19. I don't have a comparison to make with Yb's as we haven't flown the West Route with Yb's since 2004, the conditions these days don@t compare to ten years ago, so will just have to decide on the info on old doos.
  20. Hope ye get them Smiler but make sure your birds are first in the sky in the morning over the next 3 days or so. You might get them back yet, never say never in this game.
  21. It is the guy Peden from Plains who is 3rd Sec, i know there are 2 or 3 named Peden, but don't know which one has scored, but i can tell you it has gone to the third decimal to separate 2nd & 3rd.
  22. No Doo No Prize!!
  23. Just for your records George. a committee member, usually from your own section, will visit your loft and see the pigeon and check its ring number. The bird is then released out of the loft, when it lands back on the loft, that's it, the bird is Verified as being stated.
  24. Aye i think he wid, whether he'd get back or no is a different story though
