sapper756 Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 As a matter of interest how much does it cost a fancier in your club/fed to send a single bird to a race? Will be interesting to find out how this differs between clubs/feds
GRAHAM MITCHELL Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 Ayrshire paid £100 convoying fees up front for all races.
REDCHEQHEN Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 65p per bird inland and non-combine race - and that is not profit making - it is what we get charged by the federation these basket charges have remained unchanged for several years as well, sometimes we make a loss in the club as some weeks we send part baskets but have to pay for full ones - the club also faces a fine if they put more than 25 in a basket (inland non - combine races) The club I am in tries various ways to raise funds - one is a loft draw £2 a week and is compulsory whether or not you send - 2 prizes won each week from members numbers (same number all year) We won it just once last year - £10 - it cost £50 for the privilege!
Kyleakin Lofts Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 Ayrshire North Road Federation pay £115 conveying fees, but with fundraising subsidies and lottery agent fees, the average would be around £65.
buster151 Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 £1 per bird inland and £2 over channel in our club 12 birds per crate
andy Burgess Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 think its currently .35 p per pigeon . un-sure , i just hand Mrs Burgess a bank note . she gives me some change
