Wiley Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Who would you say would be the best distance fancier in Scotland from 500 miles?
tiger Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Without doubt in my opinion John bosworth and has been for decades
VMS Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Results wise Peter Virtue by a county mile, but there in no best fancier IMO to difficult to gauge due to different locations
DJWa Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 look at the record books and see who has won the section averages the most from all sections and you wont be far away
dal2 Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Results wise Peter Virtue by a county mile, but there in no best fancier IMO to difficult to gauge due to different locationsNo in the SNFC tho so difficult to gauge against but a quality fancier no doubts
Wiley Posted December 3, 2017 Author Report Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) Okay let’s say when the flying gets to 13 hours and over 500 miles not many if any are home and Who would u say would get a pigeon on the day Edited December 3, 2017 by Wiley
dal2 Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Loads might get yin.....not at the same race....but loads might get yin on any given day...concistentcy that's the thing.
dkj Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Okay let’s say when the flying gets to 13 hours and over 500 miles not many if any are home and Who would u say would get a pigeon on the day J F Bosworth, by a country mile, he.s win the snfc ave more than anyone, every nat race he the man to beat
dal2 Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Okay let’s say when the flying gets to 13 hours and over 500 miles not many if any are home and Who would u say would get a pigeon on the dayHow many gets them in that London after 13hrs? And what makes a difference between the north and south?
DJWa Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 J F Bosworth, by a country mile, he.s win the snfc ave more than anyone, every nat race he the man to beat forget the snfc averages that faviours certain areas over others the section averages are the truest guide as your competing against fanciers in your own section
Wiley Posted December 3, 2017 Author Report Posted December 3, 2017 How many gets them in that London after 13hrs? And what makes a difference between the north and south? I can name that when the flying gets that way dal, that usually get them in those conditions that’s all I am asking for is the names. Difference between north and south I could t say until this season when I am racing both north and south
dal2 Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 I can name that when the flying gets that way dal, that usually get them in those conditions that’s all I am asking for is the names. Difference between north and south I could t say until this season when I am racing both north and southWell quite a few names Ryan in Scotland will spring to mind....too many to list......14..15...16hrs not easy in any race never mind weather conditions within that time.
dkj Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 forget the snfc averages that faviours certain areas over others the section averages are the truest guide as your competing against fanciers in your own section not many fanciers score in the 7 nat races in any year, great to win section averages, but J F Bosworth has win the nat ave more than anybody, and if you beat him in any race, you are normally well in,

Blue Chequer Pied Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 Jock McKenzie of Kingsbarns formerly Anstruther. Record speaks for itself sending only a couple of birds to most nationals. Always there or there abouts. Jock's birds win for lots of others also, the sign of a great loft!
