they will all be back shortly ,thanks to all the illegal immigrants that are getting in and not being checked out

No one wants to have it in the first place obviously but the problem lies in When ye get it !! Get it before racing say mid or end of may its no problem as yer birds have time to full recover from it and you can send them !! Get it after first or second race yer snookered as there is no time to get em right and jumping them in too early is asking for trouble !! This is only been my personal experience in the past !!

Thats what i thought too phil was looking at cures for it and found that on web from a vet but it sounds to good to be true, every bird has viruses in there genetics atb kenny

My birds get YBS every season,I sit with them when feeding and catch them as soon as possible,anything not coming down for food is suspect,stop feeding them right away and withhold feed for up to 36 hrs,treat with whatever you suspect them to pick up as a secondary infection,light feed of diet or depurative several times a day with Spavins bitter stimulant powder on.

Just about the worst season ever for most fanciers in my area some disposing of up to 17,I was lucky and disposed of 3 and only getting one race.Looks like the Welsh lads had a similar secondary and disposed of a lot of birds .

No we have never had ybs and dont want it if we ever get it we would go to a vet who has knowledge on the virus but prevention is better than the cure

i have personally never had ybs,so was wondering what fanciers first steps are with dealing with the illness??as i can not answer this having never had it

Why the .*expletive removed* do you want to know how to tackle any problems with pigeons as in previous posts you are against fanciers getting products that will help resolve problems and return birds to total health.

One should be able to take others views and thoughts etc. having the right to choose to believe or not, but alwaysgive respect to the others views.

a guy i know had sickness a couple of weeks ago, he missed 1 race then send the next week and only had 9 from 22 home at 100 mls. i said to him, his birds had still not recovered from sickness. he was saying they were and were flying well(his club mate who he trains with also had ybs and like him thought it ok to send and lost a load). he showed me his birds and i noticed 1 hen feeling sorry for herself and pointed it out to him, he said she was his first bird back, so i said she obviously not recovered. the both guys have had birds for years and should know better

Now John I know you not. But I'd wager with you, or any able man: That if you saw your friends and relatives bombed. Citied devastated and thousands maimed and killed. If your two of your kids survived, but wife, sister / family killed. No food or shelter.

No food and starving YOU would flee and try to help the kids etc. Regardless what country.

Tell me John that you would flee to protect or help your children, your loved ones.

 

Then the so-called 'Camps' they have to squat in, often becoming a den of thieves and sex offences, rapes and paedophiles abuse! Most would want out then also. Wouldn't you?

 

Maybe some would start to hate the world. Especially the nations, for no more than greed, that cause this.

 

No I'd like to see the UK stronger in this regards. In fact the world all over. ... But the fact is, WE are very much the cause.

A sad whimsical smile comes to my face when the Chameleon and France etc. sold us the rubbish that we were in Afghanistan because of the ill treatment of their Women. The infringement of their Rights and abuse.

Then France, with us nearly trying to follow suit, said 'No Berka's etc. Infringing their rights ....after countless thousand of lives!
