Anyone still getting hit by the female Sparrow hawk, or are they down on eggs and we can relax a bit?

Still on the go up here Robert. They tend to go down when the trees are in full leaf so they have cover. Still another couple of weeks on high alert for me.

The buds on the trees are very late this year

Still something on the go up here. Last couple of days I've had cocks missing when called in, only to appear quite a bit later. One under the loft today, so don't know if that signifies percy or not. :)

Had a hen in our area the past few months and visiting the lofts in the area causing mayhem especially to those fanciers with early bred ybs. Appears to have left the scene over the past fortnight so possibly gone to nest now.

Hopefully down now, we haven't had any attacks from the sparrow hawk, we have seen it a couple of times and percy.

We paired up the 3rd week in February and didn't start letting the birds out until the start of February, this has made a difference, last year we let them out in January and we got hit 6 times before she was down, so tranquility lofts.

Got hit on yearling cock by hen sparrow hawk last Friday it had him pinned to the ground ready for the kill.

Good job I was in garden as he would have been gone. Very lucky :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:
