has this ever been tryed in the uk before racing oldbirds and youngbirds together in the same races?

Yes our midweek club has 2 any age races ---all up together but separate young and old results.

i would welcome mixed age races. thinking they would be good to educate youngsters with a line of flight etc.

Doesnt take them long to learn what is expected and can be competitive.

Most of the bigger organisations have these races every year with separate results in fact the National Flying Club are racing today from Coutences (France)old hens and young birds competing,only sent 5 young birds myself but we have other members in our local club that have sent old birds to.

In Wiley's fed in London every race is an any age race

So with this do you breed earlier or do you move start of your old birds back a bit
