Could any one tell me what this is, I used it on my floor and nest boxes. It seems to help keep the floor reasonably dry and stopped the droppings sticking, My dealer does not do it any more and only knows of it as loft white and I would like to use something like it if I cannot get this stuff, Can any one help. It is a fine powder and I brush and rub it into the floor.

You canny beat a good scrapper twice a day

I still scrape the loft every day, as I said this stuff seems to help as the dropping when dry does not seem to stick to the floor as much as when the droppings land and dry out on the wooden floor. In this heat we have had recently and the good ventilation it does not take long in the summer for the droppings to harden. It also leaves a nice smell.

Most loft whites are lime based, but there are several types of lime, some burn. Can't help as to which is which.

Respiro Sans Dry is available from Phil Gardner, don't think I am allowed to post his contact, but if you PM, I'll give it to you. :)

Does anyone use cardboard on the loft floor for a few days then change it.

Also there a product from pallets called Belgium white disinfecting chalk.

Thanks for you reply does the LIME FLOUR ,HYDRATED LIME have any draw backs on the birds, as you say is very harsh in action, kills bugs dead. Sorry to ask does it rub into the floor or is it just a brush in if you know what I mean, and does it remove the smell, just trying to get right.

Hydrated lime to powdery IMO ,bad on my breathing so cant be good on birds thats why i use garden lime and sand as opposed to builders lime ,but the reason i use lime is it kills any infections etc in birds droppings when it hits the floor .
