Ma Yb's have to go to 5 races, no fussed what one's but I send tae every race. For 5 years runnin aw Ma yearlings went tae an SNFC Inland race or the Fed coast race if it wisnae an SNFC race. Every year I wid look tae see what I had for the nationals and a wiz lucky tae have a dozen tae cover the full program. So last year I raced Ma yearlings tae the yearling Derby and stopped them, except the Blue hen way the ETS ring who went tae a national. (Re used ETS ring !! ) and the strawberry mealy Ck who went tae the coast tae.

The Doos am left way are all well bred for the job, it's a disgrace the results ave been gettin when ye look at the Doos ace got, but as I say they're bred for the job and while ave no hammered them ave no mollycoddled them either. They'll get 3 races @ 180 250 & the first imland national or fed equivalent, then it's gold cup for what's still here. All my older pigeons have crossed the channel bar one hen who's been hawked the last 2 years. That's Ma tank.

As usual I will probably be wrong but my screen is not 100% colour correct, however they look a bit immature to me and I was under the impression the Brugermans are slow developers as well as the Aardens or at least mine are. You will notice the eyes get more acute after every moult and I am sure you would have noticed if they are full out, and are supposed to be 3 year old before trying 550 miles. But before I get castigated by all and sundry its only my opinion and they do look a nice team for the future. You know I wish you the very best of luck in wherever you send them.

I don't no how many times af herd thiss about family of doos not maturing till 3 year old if there good enough there ready I respect your opinion but to hold doos till there 3 year old in this country is ver near impossible to even get them to the starting line breed 20 look after them by the time they are 3 year old you would be lucky to have 6 pigeon racing has changed drastically in the last 20 years there's more pigeons capable of doing 16hrs on the wing then thay where years ago if you timed in the next day you where well in But sadly that's changed not unless its a disaster or hard race velocity's will never Chang but doos capable of doing them have

Bad reception where a was last night Tam. Naw she's a Moleveld X Bruggerman. Moleveld Ck was one Sapper got direct and I bought when he packed in and the Bruggerman hen was a gift fae Davie Jamieson. She's tiny but all ye feel is muscle when ye handle her.

Still few and far between, Tam ..... "pigeons capable of doing 16 hrs on the wing " ?? imo

If your not timed in on the shift even at the distance races on a good racing day you wont make the result

Correct but that does not need to be 16 hrs on the wing !!! The point I'm making Tam, is very few are capable of flying 16 hrs on the day.

Doos tae fly 16hrs on the day are few and far between everywhere, always have been. Late great Andrew Deans pointed that oot tae me years ago and nothing has changed since.

I no wot your point is but into the west section 9 /10 races over 500ml are won or well in between 14 to 16hrs on the shift and your lucky to make the result up to 0630 the next day so my point is there is a lot of birds capable of 14 to 16hrs on the wing its getting a good line of them to start with the day of second day doos is nearly over wee all ned a doo that can get up the next day in hard races but you cant aford to have hut full of them

Aye nice pair Andrew, Al no have a big team of Yb's this year but arguably al have plenty quality.

John you really do talk a good game but you have under achieved for the last 10 years asept Frome the yprs race wee come Frome craignuek john a spaid is a spaid and I no you have been bizey but no excuse me and big Eadie have shared the spoils in the last 15 years I think its with aldo splitting it 1 year but at our presentation night you Spock about Lindsay & Henderson who have no won the old bird cup in 15 year in newmains and T Corry second that who lets all sorts of people race doos out of Carstairs pen me and my mucker will never have a right up on the same breath as as pedos and murders
