ALF Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 All our racing lofts are on easibed stock loft is bare floor but only 7 pairs so scraper only needs run over it twice a week
bullcock Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Scrapped floors here, most on here are using some kind of deep litter bedding, we have always scrapped out, maybe try it some day.
dal2 Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Scrapped floors here, most on here are using some kind of deep litter bedding, we have always scrapped out, maybe try it some day.Scraper for me.......its the only way in my opinion. I don't understand why the dangers of festering sh** are ignored. I know time constraints have fanciers struggling sometimes but surely an hour a day can be found??
GRAHAM MITCHELL Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Scrapper at my loft.Dads became a dab hand with it since retiring.
clockman Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Scraper for me,Then Respiro San Dry brushed in.
Walter swanston Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 I tried deep litter with easiibed, for me it was more trouble than it was worthI was ankle deep in a mixture of easier and pigeon droppings, maybe I din not do it right but I could not stand it.Eventually Yeboah built me new lofts and I now scrape out religiously once often twice a day, if I could think of a way to get them dry I would scrub them.

joshua Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 i scrape the perches onto the floor and nest boxes the same when racing, but at this time when birds are rearing i leave the nest boxes until moving the youngsters but not onto the floor, big s@its when they come off the nest at this time i lift aswell, probably a full clear out once or twice a year, only thing i am going to start doing is a scrape over with a hoe every other day but not removing it,doesnt make me win, just suits me,each to their own.
geordie1234 Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 I remember a fancier came in my old lofts it was 48x10ft it had 7 sections with floor grills with a 4 foot corridor...the fancier said grills were for lazy fanciers....I went to his lofts not long after they looked like he hadn't cleaned out in 5 year pmsl
