Well I'm in favour def 100% , got to move way the times . But I think either a call /text to report your first bird or an e.mail. Within an hour of timing in . Think the text idea is prob the cheapest and it's written down instead of ,can't understand the message left on lib line . All this talk of guys not having phones is dung IMHO .

I personally don't like the ongoing result thing some of the other organisations do. Think it could be ok if yer no at the race and looking in.

 

The whole lib line thing can ruin your race, too many folk worrying about other folks times instead of their own.

 

For me it kills a bit of the excitement if ye know there's doos in and you havenae any, part of the excitement when ye get one as well is waiting a day or two til the result comes on the website or through the door to see where you've finsihed.With the ongoing result thing ye more or less know before ye go up wi the clock.

 

It's a no from me, and if it does go through I suppose I'll just have to report anything I get and no look online or talk to any body

If it is in the interest of security and if people think members are cheating-surely compulsory phoning in of every ones first bird will only make it easier for them to do so?

If for security reasons I can see it closing one door but opening another wide open. If a person was 'at it' it would be oh so easy to work out what time they have to clock to beat all those displayed.

Another season apon us and another jucy steak for everyone to bit into, but when the dust settles we will all race our birds as normal.

Apart from giving an early rundown on the race (which is already available on the web site and on PB), I see no other reason being offered for this proposal, if it is security, then as some have mentioned it will give supposed cheats more information to aid them.

If just one ligitamatly timed bird is thrown out because they didn't phone in, just to give an early run down, then for me this is not worth it, JMO

As I have taken on a contract covering Saturday's possibly not be at loft when bird arrives

This and many other reasons has me worried about this proposal,P.S. most of the time we would be available to record a timein but as mentioned earlier for second or third day birds members are not always at the loft when using ETS.

I only know if ive got anything when my shift ends and I get home

 

some say get someone to watch for your birds , aye right ,

who is going to spend all day at someone elses loft looking for doos

sorry anyone I know who would possibly do it will more than likely have their own birds at the race

and be at their own lofts

I don't know the ins and outs of the law, but I think this rule would be outwith the SHU rules for timing and verification of a bird, so I can't see it standing in an appeal.

Got to agree with you there because without knowing others times we can imagine (me anyway)that you have the National Winner sitting in your loft,ok when you get the kick in the goolys later on when you find out the result ouch!but for a time you are on a different planet,lol,
