showman Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 I have 3 sputniks which I replace the floors every year, in the spring. 1" chipboard. Not expensive and makes a fresh job of it.
gordi.b Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 just replaced the floor of one i was given , then a nice coat of Butinox , like new
philg50 Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Replace with exterior ply then coat with creosote ,bore a couple holes at lowest point for any water to drain .
alex wight Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Before painting, put a beed of silicone around the edge, rub it in, when dry, paint it. The cut edges are where the water/moisture soaks in, causing the wood to rot.
