Just back from my supplier Cyril Beattie....Versela Laga Best All Round....£12.00 per bag.

I also noticed a sign saying that all their own mixtures were down in price. Nice to see him trying his best on prices !!

never bought a bag of feeding for 3 yrs, all farm stuff,

just out of curiosity , "how often do you win races" ? :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Wheat AND Barley £4 for 25K. Tic Beans £6 : 25p. Agreed home grown on the farmland. Am looking now for a decent price of groats.

he is a good man cyril does his best for the doo men and his feeding is first class

Options differ he had it his own way for years his corn was always highly priced and never did the fanciers any favours much better keenly priced corn on the market now,he had to drop his prices simple as.

as long as the birds are happy and healthy most feeds will do . how many times have we heard stories of "crushed dog biscuits" being fed. :emoticon-0136-giggle:

I think that a main put off regards farm feeds was / and maybe still is in some cases, the thought of rats and mice etc. piddling and crapping over the corn stored. But I believe, obviously, that things are far better and have mostly been gotten under hand.

I never used to entertain farm food, I don't know if its the case the older I get the wiser I get or the older I get the tighter I get but I would say that nowadays it makes up 50% of my feed.
