i only half fill the drinkers so if they freeze i just pour some hot tap water on top which is enough to melt the ice if id time i would do as lindsay does and empty them at night an fill them in the morning not used my loft heating this year

birds get more beans added to there afternoon feed, drinkers were poured out just before dark last night as saves all that messing about next morning getting cold fingers,oh, and i wrap up warmer :animatedpigeons:

 

also birds are not paired up yet, brrrr

IMO after a prolonged spell of freezing temps the pigeons always look the better for it.

 

 

i think so too , although not happy with frozen drinkers. i do like a good frost to kill off any nasties we cant see :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Make sure they have water give them plenty of feed ,excercise as normal they look good in this weather,sputnik doors frozen + the plastic that covers drop holes is even frozen the day .
