Delboy Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 The rubber over the ets ring is to let you know its been in somewhere.

THE FIFER Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 I've reported 3 young birds this year already but after yesterday it be my last time even got that sick think wrap the game all together lost one my late breads 6 weeks ago off loft it just started going a round like all my young's ones its wing stamped with fed and club and other wing my phone number even got my phone number on ets ring it drop into me yesterday with birds from race ets onn my phone number and ets still on it with rubber gutty over ring if wasn't too much for all clubs to chase up gutty number I would go all way find this scum *expletive removed* give him some my fine choice off words that's doo men for u if your ets etc was still on it dont see anyone racing it, probably someone giving it a chance to home by putting it in with racers, if so they have to have a rubber on it,
Joe_b Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 rubber was over top ets ring mate if he was given it chance why not phone number its on ets ring or stamped on wing
calder boy Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 Maybe like,me he can't use the phone deaf which is a pain as,can't phone when get birds in with phone numbers on them just a thought
Walter swanston Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 It can be an interesting experience dealing with strays,I usually wait till I have two or three then grove them up to Abington and release them.Ealier this year I phoned a number off a pigeons leg and was told to f**** off! a week later I reported a blue hen only to find that the SHU number had been issued to a white grizzle cock,as I say interesting. Grove should be drive
THE FIFER Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 rubber was over top ets ring mate if he was given it chance why not phone number its on ets ring or stamped on wing cant see any markers passing a bird for a race with someone else's phone number on it m8, think its been to toss it,
JohnQuinn Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 Stinks tae high heaven Joe, could be someone like me who hasn't got ETS rings on all their team so have to use rubbers on them all. 6 days i coulda seen sense in it returning with a rubber just tae let ye know it was in somewhere, though what the F use that is am no sure. 6 WEEKS out and am inclined tae think its broke elsewhere but came over you first. Phone number on leg is easy explained away by a no user if anyone did question it, though ave yet tae see a marker pay that much attention especially if its a busy club. Jmo.
ovy1255 Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 someones taken the time to look after your bird-even managed to get it near enough for it to return-and didnt have to listen to any s h i t off someone telling him to f/off-he even left your ets on ---------WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT-maybe it is time you looked at things differently.from a north east guy that gets lots of su birds on their way home, but have to send gb birds on race to get them down the road
jonl6280 Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 I think the doos man done yae a favour ,£6.80 for a stray is a pile of PSS total joke, how could a senior member pay 10 strays in one week!!! And we hope people will join this dying sport my ares
gulkie Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 Yes they can stoop really low .a few year back I had a bird return with its leg rubber wraped round both legs when it landed on the roof it rolled down I thought it had two broken legs.so nothing surprises me ,the only comfort being it isThe small minority that does things like that.
