I have had some like this a number of times. Not sure which bop it was but always thought it a sparrow hawk. The hen it hit got hit 3 times over 6 weeks on the last time she never returned from exercise. Keep her on until the feathers are all back is my advice mjb

100% peregrine

Classic strike the peregrine dives from above goes past the pigeon and catches it from underneath

The tallon from one claw has went into the birds breast whilst the other has just got a load of wing feathers

Reason why it has lost its grip

When i had them back in 2005 we had a cock the same thing happened to him at the same time of year we let him sit until the flights grew in the started training him again from Moffat every night as my dad's mate was a lorry driver he then got the fed comeback race and was sent to falaise being 20th in the section and 233rd open snfc :emoticon-0123-party:

hi fokes is this the bizzy time for attacks had the same today 16 year old cock

first time out this year, blue pied too, this was hen sparra hawk deffo, had been

watching it for good 20mins just knew it was coming, unfortunatly heard a neigbour

shouting for me went to see wat they wanting thinking the worst, while was helping her

BANG sparra took old cock, 1st one this year hope its last,
