Get the proposal in m8

I will wait and see how the vote goes, I think you have to stand up at the AGM and justify every race point and its suitability and facilities, water etc.. I don't know anything about the areas, do you think suggesting approximate areas with the committee to confirm suitability would work or just proposing the East Route?

Well we know their are facilities at every race point mentioned Robert, Frankfurt was the only one we didn't know about but you changing it to Bonn, the Welsh use that race point so all race points are fine.ps. the vote on this poll doesn't really reflect the one you would get at the AGM.

Cheers Del, I will need a seconder, I take it my brother wouldn't count?

No, but im sure youll get a seconder easy enough.

It won't do any harm to propose it, even if it fails it will start a debate and maybe give everyone food for thought, what is the deadline?

what I cant understand is lanarkshire etc are flying the west route why then are you wanting to fly out of belgium and possibly germany surely you should be going back to the old race points sartilly rennes nantes which is on that line of flight not going away to the east or is it all to do with overfly once again

I wouldn't like to see the club stray from Alencon, Clermont or Ypres.

Although perhaps the date of Ypres needs looked at to give the longest race a weekend to itself. Tours seems to have been as good a racepoint as any for the longest race in recent times and would probably be the one I'd like to see as someone who has never attempted the long one before, but would like to.

think its more to do with west winds and doglegging tyson but it would be nice to get a wee shot of the overfly to m8 lol

110 mile of sea between belgian coast and great yarmouth(direct line fechan-leige)? Thought we liked short crossings?

Nae point in ypres and brussels(380-420) much the same race in my opinionn. Bonn 520 tae fechan,510 to Gretna, is that longest race measurement?

I am not fussed which way they want to go but would prefer a more traditional route thru west/central France

The proposals being banded about have nothing to do with the welfare of the birds only the pretext of self centred fanciers "I use that word with contempt" to gain the advantage of a bit of overfly. Absolutely no thought of the 100 or so miles of North Sea where a shower of rain can bring disaster as their is no where to land and seek shelter and you call yourselves pigeon fanciers.

Ypres in early June, Reims gold cup race and Clermont. Leave inland races to federations or combines to organise.
