Delboy Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 Derek. When you say central marking how many stations for Scotland? one, it was done before with great success.7 section winners in the top 10 open. The Solway and north boys pigeons were ferried in and the cost was subsidised by the SNFC.

Perth would be bang in the middle of Scotland, or are we talking somewhere central to Lanarkshire and fuff the rest of us, what about the guys with no transport, or who have to work, dont we count?
Delboy Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 Forgive my my ignorance but what has a central marking station got to do with the results? All the birds are mixed in with each other Livingston? ?? That would do, it was Bathgate the last time. Delboy Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 dont agree with one marking station only putting more expence and inconvenience on fanciers jmo No Kevin, it usually costs ye less m8 because a few travel to the marking together,
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 here sir if av fed your having a pop at this was done so mr hay could fly with us so he could have a clubAV hadn't crossed my mind, I was referring to Midland fed. Had a good friend who didnt win section E from Ypres because Midland fed through desperation for members took in fanciers that were members of the North West Fed. You can understand why Dr Lynch wants to change the sections, this to be in the same section as the fanciers next door to him, who got in the back door of section E via the Midland fed. Some of the sections are requiring to be tidied up.
bullcock Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 All SNFC proposals should be in secs hands by 31st October 2013, has anyone any ideas for 2014 ?Back to the question,I would like to see the web site brought into the modern age, it's too dated and needs revamped and regularly updated, with regular liberation info while we are all waiting on word about the race, also all the loft reports and photos should be on there and the photos from the presentation.PS on all the results why don't we see the birdage wind and lib times?

Bobby4 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 No Kevin, it usually costs ye less m8 because a few travel to the marking together, not my cup tea del 4 fanciers 4 baskets in one car then if your lucky enuff to time in an they dont ure on your own or vis versa could be wrong but a think it would put people off m8
Delboy Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 Your clock returns to normal clock stations Kevin.
dal2 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 Your clock returns to normal clock stations Kevin.Clock set then struck with diffo master? Ets clocks travel with birds? or rung at sect level then transported to central location to be basketed again? is that a security issue Del?
Delboy Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 Clock set then struck with diffo master? Ets clocks travel with birds? or rung at sect level then transported to central location to be basketed again? is that a security issue Del? SNFC Base station used at central marking. Different SNFC Base station used at sectional clock check to strike off clocks, no problem Stevie. No security issue because all are SNFC Base stations and are coded. The main reason for central marking is SECURITY.
dal2 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 SNFC Base station used at central marking. Different SNFC Base station used at sectional clock check to strike off clocks, no problem Stevie. No security issue because all are SNFC Base stations and are coded. The main reason for central marking is SECURITY.Is there a Tauris SNFC master node? What happens with the manual clocks? Are they not meant to be struck off with the same master that they wer set with? Or are all the clocks travelling with, and returning, with whoever is delegated to take the birds up? Loads of questions mate. If I was the kind of guy tae bother wae meetings I would like to see Maidstone dropped and maybe two ypres with the gold cup and the longest one. The yb nat????well who knows wots best for that?
Delboy Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 central marking was done very successfully before Stevie without any problems with clocks etc.
JADE Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 Central marking wouldn't bother me but I think it would result in a drop in entries . I would suggest only races over 500 miles count towards gold & silver awards. Change marking times so they only have two nights in basket for Channel races
peter pandy Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 AV hadn't crossed my mind, I was referring to Midland fed. Some of the sections are requiring to be tidied up.Denny has been a member of Midland Fed for more than 40 years and the boundary was never changed to do so. Their was no back door entry and I take exception Gareth for attempting to denigrate noble members. What will you come away with next, perhaps George Harris had no right to win a national because he is in Denny club or perhaps a 1 mile radius of your loft should be the West Section. Forgive me for being negative but their are many in the West section who firmly believe Newbiggan should not be competing in the West section but no doubt friends don't count.
peter pandy Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 Proposals for the SNFC as far as I am concerned would be not to joint convoy with any organisation and transport the birds ourselves, Plus drop all inland races and fly the old route with Avranches, Rennes, Nantes and Sartilly where we had better returns.
