i have a 50 dose bottle of colombovac which has a use by date of 1/6/13 which has never been opened and refrigerated,if you were to use this by the end of november who on site would use it after reading some of the recent posts from pb members regarding vaccination

Yes I would use it. But you must remember this would not meet the requirements for racing because it is as you say out of date jmo.

I disposed of out of date vaccine last year, and I had to do my own and Davie's YBs earlier than I'd have liked this year to keep within the expiry date. I've also been taking advice from others on the forum and today, from Dr Lynch, and I will be changing the things I've been doing wrong, so for me out of date means what it says, and would not use it.

Never had Para or YBS and have used in the past expired dates of vaccine. So I would have no hesitation in using yours. Perhaps the pharmaceutical guys posting could perhaps explain why the Chevita vaccine has an 18 month expiry on there bottles when Columbovac always appear to have 6 month expiry on every bottle I have ever purchased.!!

its only in recent years that thay have reduced the expiry date it lasted 12 months at one time, just to sell more vaccine.
