Joint Convoying

For the guys who are part of the POTENTIAL joint convoying federation's

 

What do youz think of the programme we voted yesterday for? Is it a programme you would be happy going yourselves?

 

This is only out of interest to see what you guy's think?

To be fair I was under the impression that we were looking at a combine race/races to be honest with the way Ayrshire is talking about convoy fees joint convoying would not be much of a difference, however if there was combined races then would most certianly be more of an interest in Ayrshire, in regards to your race programm well done on getting this all done and dust early Ayrshire won't vote on one until the Egm in January I think and chance are that some won't want to go west due to overfly they get from the east

To be honest I thought all the Feds that were mentioned would of had an input into the program or the races that were to be competed in but looks like Lanarkshires ruling the roost and that will put guys off straight away however I hope it works as its the way forward over this neck of the woods atb

expletive remove guys I was LANARKSHIRE FEDERATIONS race program meeting , not a joint meeting , they are the first to have a meeting and they have set a program, which I must say if we are to race down the west then I would go with it , well the later bit, so it's up to any fed that wants convoying to set there program as lanarkshires from. 200/250 miles on , as this is where we should all be looking to save costs jmho .

If it does happen the safety in numbers is a major player for me and then the cost thing is great for everyone

I think joint convoying is the way to go now to help everyone and we know percy will hit them every week but why give them a 5 course meal every saturday with different feds lib'ing at different times get them awe up the gither fae the longer races and have a wee bit of safety in numbers as they would all be coming into the west of Scotland

Once all the relevant Federations have set their own race programmes the relevant Federation Officials will meet and discuss joint convoying. Obviously not all programmes will be the same, so there will be some come and go required to make it work. This is the part where the Federation Officials shall require understanding from their members and be allowed the latitude to negotiate what will be the best financially for the Federation and more importantly, what will be the best for the birds coming into the West of Scotland.

no m8 would not be interested in going that direction , i hope my fed sticks to the east side as the east has been better than the west for me anyday personally but i would be better of distance and location wise on the west but to many bad memories down that side m8

 

must admit i dint exspect the full west route for the old birds think that will knock the amal thing on the head now

First class programme and about time our birds were racing from south to west,its near enough true south to north (NEAR enough im saying)so keep yer hair on,already the moaning has started,is this because Lanarkshire have their programme out first?while others fk aboot making a mountain oot a molehill,well done LPF great to see MEN in action.

correct m8 some who might go west this time will not neccesary go to the exact same racepoints in there programe . Cant see the amal happening now

looking at the solways race points theres look diffo to me aswell so will they change all theres again

yous raced down the east last year walter with old birds but now you have chnged to the west side with new racepoints most of the other feds who might be part of the amal race east so i cant see them jumping to the west just cause lanarshire has done it . I thought the amal would have been good thing but didnt exspect the change to the west this time

Rab the reason there new points were chosen from Upper Hyford and bedhampton was to appease those who want west and those who want east, its more center of country than west.

 

As others have said already, its best left to the offcials to talk and clarify many items that will need to be discussed.

Gareth thats not the point im trying to make what im saying is with your race programe set in stone now you might not get many going to same points as yourself even if they do go west .

Not really!!! If all the Feds concerned except Lanarkshire go east, then joint convoying is still a goer. If it is an even split, 3 and 3, then it is still a goer for two different lots.

John has started the ball rolling and I believe will facilitate the move towards joint convoying, but he is intelligent enough to realise that there is a lot of movement required before ANY form of amalgamation could occur.

If I was outside lanarkshire fed and flew in a surrounding fed when given the chance to go with LRPF or the SNFC to the coast the lanarkshire fed would win every time for me....nothing to do with the transporters...more importantly my pigeons would becoming into more or less the same area safety in numbers etc etc

 

 

Now wether you like it or not this is the future for us in the fancy as feds get smaller we must and will come together it might not happen for next season but it WILL happen in the future imo

Not at the moment but think it is a step up for me personally going to Lanarkshire wether Airdrie get in or not .and the programme you have came up with suits me fine as a set up for the nats.

For me its not about going with lan or not ,,its about lanarkshire are going down the west and after all the bad races down there before dont really want to go that way , the east has been much better for me than the west was so its a no brainer to want to keep of the cumbrian hills the shap and lancaster areas
