the old stuff ive tried to blend a family around smarged de barcelona vale barcelona velkje de schalangen barcelona and kuyper bros the spin all jan aarden based i inbreed and line breed to these birds and been lucky enough to get over 80 firsts in 11 years scoring from 60 miles right out to over 500 miles dont get me wrong i payed 12 thousand pounds to get the best in the 12 years ive had them but i have also payed big money to others and they done nothing but it does not matter if you pay a fortune for birds if you dont breed plenty off them and put a lot of work into them they will not win no matter how much they cost and you also need to keep them healthy as ive said before on here sick birds dont win

i dont sell my birds eastcoaster but the day is coming fast that i might have to to keep them going m8 money is tight all over but i dont regret spending it on my stock when i had it for got to say they have also won 11 thousand pounds to date just over 2 grand this year so just about payed for them selves been very lucky with them that way

I have a g/son de Barcelona that has bred 3rd open bovington & my 2 nd sect Maidstone last year and have others jan ardent from Peter virtue but early days for them . Have also spent a lot on some real duffers but slowly getting there although everybody through here tells me my birds are too big to win !!.

my aardens are all small to medium dont like the big birds allmost all the gold award winning piceons ive handled would fit in a half pint glass hope you have some luck with them m8

ps i have two direct sons of debarcelona and two dbl grandaughters all breeding winners they are a bit longer but not to big the invincible spirit line can be big birds i found

walter yes the small ones seem better and the kyuper Barcelona line xs very well with the van geel Dolle line the brinkman is another very good line as is the Pete Aerts crak line but most of these lines are near impossible to get now unless your in the know :emoticon-0167-beer:

Sorry it's not the jan Arden that are big but some of the others I have , but I agree the smaller ones seem to be better in the long races , I have the brokamps and southwells and theyare on the small side .

only a small club

 

with 1st fed 16th open maidstone my best performance this season.

 

big change next year old birds going from natural to roundabout and young birds natural on to darkness well thats the plan.

well 20 x 1st this season

 

van dyke cock took 3 1st at 3 year old seems better than ever this year (only van dyke in the loft)

van reets flew well inland and van reet x bussherts flew well across the water

that's correct which in turn comes from the spruote lines look at black giants lines

yes the southwells are small just look at mini mouse I have a son of boomarange 2 off true grit and ronnies boy and 1 off minni mouse
