Think you will at season's end ... if they perform well!

If they perform TOO well - they won't get any recognition cos they aren't transferred - the Up North Combine checks with the various racing organisations to make sure bird belongs to flier - if it doesn't - thrown off result sheet - and this should happen with clubs as well, fanciers flying birds that don't officially belong to them

Personally - if I was the breeder - I send the transfer forms in myself - it might cost a few pounds in the short term - but could save a fortune in the long term........

People who race un-transferred birds are as bad as those that race strays, if lost it's the registered keeper who gets the card and is obliged to do something about it, and of course as Redcheq says, it's breaking the rules

andy i gave away over 50 birds to fanciers and sales and charity events a few years back and only about 5 were ever transfered although i did have quite a few reported with race rubbers on one of which cost me £45 to get back , a few others managed to pick them up for me and get them returned via transporters , Blaz went and picked one up from none fancier and dropped of to my fed transporter the following day which had been raced by some one but not transfered .

biggest mistake was i didint right down who got what .

i can remember you telling me that story pal . i did give transfers to most ,but it was before that 1st June date i mentioned in a reply to Yeboah .so don't know for sure if that's why ? if my story ends like yours it could finish me if i had to pay for the return of most :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

this year 2013 ive either sold or give away just over 70 ybs as ive packed in,its only recently that some have started transferring them over.

i have now stated that any birds that get reported will be paid for by those that have had them...as i have wrote down their names besides the birds numbers.

surely anyone who has birds gifted to them should have the respect to transfer them over asap.

Redchequer hen, I know where you are coming from, and you are of course 100% right. Unfortunately too many aren't doing as they should. Yes and some spout the rules etc. .... and take no note of them. Had one club mate training my bird for thes easo etc... has now transferred it. Another trying to do the same... Gave them a few youngsters, but they keep forgetting conveintly to do so.

I will infute make sure ALL and any future birds I let others have will have signed the transfer forms etc. and I WILL send them off.

I transferred one of yours last week Andy and included postage for your copy. I got an email confirmation straight away. Are you sure yours has not been sent by email?

original post was to remind a select few Tom . like Sapper you had already spoken to me prior to the message being put up :pidge:
