To me the drinkers look clean and full of fresh water. BUT!!! 4 doos in 3 baskets are taking a drink ( one of which is straining its neck to reach the water) and ye think that's ok???

There will be photos and video tomorrow before and after liberation

considering they've been there since thursday?don't think all the birds are going to pose for a picture whils't taking a drink john, all i was pointing out was water is there and it is attainable by the birds as the four birds drinking proves

The point i was making was by the look of the drinkers they're not long filled with water and if only 4 doos from 1,349 are taking a drink from freshly poured water then it clearly isn't as available to some birds as others or more than that would have been drinking from them. To me it looks more like those closest to the drinkers have had their drink, and aren't about to give way for others to get close enough to have a drink. A say what a see, no more no less.

Very good of kenny to keep update with photo's

I take it when the birds are being fed the baskets have to be pulled outward s to put food through the top if its raining all morning as stated what's the procedure as the birds and sh- would become wet the convoyers do a wonderful job but surely surely there should not be 20 per basket having to fight for water got to be 16 lads this has to be addressed

When the photos were taken it was an hour or so since They had been cleaned out and refilled. I just thought it would to let all see the inside of the transporter/ drinkers etc . If i had taken the photo earlier just after feeding you would have seem plenty of them saying cheese to the caméra .

with it being alencon all birds in the baskets have experience of an overnight stay or two and know how to get a drink. as most of us know our birds are very well looked after when in transport by the s.n.f.c. as it has been pointed out all the drinkers look to clean. the conveyor would have emptied the drinkers and put fresh water in then before he took the photo. the reason i am thinking this is 1 he would want the photo to look good and clean.2 if birds had just had them put on then their would have been a dam site more than 3or4 heads in the drinkers.another reason for changing the water before photo is you can see a bird with butt sticking out and just like our drinkers in loft they will get sh1t in. as for me i am happy with the way birds are looked after and glad to see the photos look forward to seeing more

I think this Could be à very good idea Michael.

As per the feeding , if raining the baskets can be pushedout with the curtain still drawn this stops the baskets from getting wet . I prefer to feed from the inside corridor anyway rather than going up and down ladders .

oer here we put 20 in crates for inland and 14/16 for channel. We have birds in St. Malo at the minute and 14 per crate.

they need there space and with the hot weather tis not good for 20 to sweat like *expletive removed* among each other never mind scrap for the drinker.

No matter how many less are in, you will always have 1 or 2 domineering cocks defending drinking corner like they defend their own box. but less of a scrabble if numbers kept down in crates.
