cemetary Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 would i be right in saying that we, the lanarkshire fed is taking the national this year Dont think it has been decided yet Danny, maybe your right,
Guest bigda Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 well the way i am reading it on the new lrpf site is the prices are take maidstone 22 june £2 FOR A LANARKSHIRE BIRD AND £1 FOR A NAT BIRD AND ON THE 6TH JULY YPRES £3 FOR A LANARLSHIRE BIRD AND AGAIN THE NAT HAS TO PAY OUR FED £1 POUND PER BIRD
Guest bigda Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 the way i see it the lanarkshire as a sub contractor should be pricing its work on 33 1/3 of the total basket money not just one race but all races the nat have if we are suppling all drivers insurance and ware and tare on the wagons, that would be the minimum i would expect to get paid that would work out at about £21 per basket for our fed and that would be cheap for a full load of baskets used 276 baskets at £21 =£5,796 for the lanarkshire and the nat would make £14,904.00 if the race was full so that would be the money for one race there would be 6 more to go for

johnc Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 would i be right in saying that we, the lanarkshire fed is taking the national this yearseems to be that since lanarkshire got their new lorries some members have been counting the profit from the snfc before anything has been deceided, maybe in for a bit of a shock

frank-123 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Don't anyone listen to this person bigda he is not a member of the snfc. The snfc will choose the best and most efficient method of transportation. If Lanarkshire are not chosen then so be it.Lanarkshire don't need the income although it would be welcomed if the snfc chose there transporter.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 seems to be that since lanarkshire got their new lorries some members have been counting the profit from the snfc before anything has been deceided, maybe in for a bit of a shockJohn, dont bite to the instigater of this thread. Anyway as Frank has just posted, Lanarkshire dont require profit from SNFC for the use of our vehicles to survive, this after the members of the fed have rallied round and been very generous. Though it would be good to have SNFC pigeons transported in the best equipment / transporters available and at the same time cut last years ridiculous haulage costs of the SNFC by a good margin.
Roland Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Well I think it should ALWAYS in be what's best of the pigeons. Who will do the best service and best Transporter. - As my logo below says every post... and could add Costs to bird and man alike. I, of course, know not of any transporter or their' standards, but I think the lesser ones should be vetoed and the better one chosen. This would not only raise the standard if needed, but would mean a good standard all around. As for the cost.... well simply tell the best one that they will earn £000's if they do it and nothing if they don't, besides the prestige of doing it. I also think that a great deal of thought should be given to the PRICE per bird and make it more affordable to ALL concerned. Indeed if the weather is good and the price sensible, then a sustainable and cost effective National could and should be achieved with many more birds being entered.. I also think that more Feds and Liberations should take the line of combined transported birds for the same reasons. No Cartel or behind the scene shenanigans, just sensible and realistic profits for a worth while and good job. Of course it goes without saying A. transporters have to pay their way and a profit made.
Guest bigda Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 well maybe its the fife guys, that want to take the national pigeons maybe they do know something i don't know, but maybe by tonight it might come clearer i am quoting the Lanarshire's price guide thats all , are there more fife guys in the Nat to make them fav . as some say i am not in the nat but worry about where our transporters going to be sitting doing nothing , if the fifers win when i have a £1 levy on our own waggons every time we use it.

Guest bigda Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 John, dont bite to the instigater of this thread. Anyway as Frank has just posted, Lanarkshire don't require profit from SNFC for the use of our vehicles to survive, this after the members of the fed have rallied round and been very generous. Though it would be good to have SNFC pigeons transported in the best equipment / transporters available and at the same time cut last years ridiculous haulage costs of the SNFC by a good margin. you might be right about not needing the national birds, but you can not let them have it for next to nothing we are in a diferant situation now than we where before we have to run the transport as the way all business run at a profit, giving out the old trailers to the Nat before did not need fuel, and they had to have there own drivers, that then was the cheap way although i didnt think we charged enough to take into a account how much the old trailers cost us per yearthankfully that has gone now but we shouldn't be depending on members charity to run 2 trucks and 2 trailers plus drivers and insurance and plating or mots that should all be set out before the season starts
Guest bigda Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 and with a trailer unit like this they are entitled to bid for the national birds not sure if we should or need go with the national as we have options now with the combanation of trucks and trailers we have so if we only need the one truck so be it this truck would need all the work it could get to be honest
Guest bigda Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 fife dont want it fact will the loan out there truck to the nat do you know that for a fact
thunderbigbaws Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 said at council meeting prior to agm it wont be going to the national again but hayhoo fife fed were talking about
walterboswell59 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 all snfc members should have a vote on this issue its our birds well being and that wagon looks like a chunky chicken lorry this should not be decided by 2 or 3 guys on a comitee and i dont care who takes the as long as its the best we can afford
cemetary Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 all snfc members should have a vote on this issue its our birds well being and that wagon looks like a chunky chicken lorry this should not be decided by 2 or 3 guys on a comitee and i dont care who takes the as long as its the best we can afford A think your a bit dam right cheeky there saying that like, The Fife Fed Transportation has a great reputation on careing for birds at any races what ever they are. This will be the wagon they are using for the SNFC, FACT.
geordie1234 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 If this is the transporters they are using can I still send with the Lanarkshire to the two inlands and ypres on the state of the art Geraldy's and duplicate into these 3 races?
JADE Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 If this is the transporters they are using can I still send with the Lanarkshire to the two inlands and ypres on the state of the art Geraldy's and duplicate into these 3 races? You enter the SNFC and then duplicate into your federation not the other way round
Guest bigda Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 un less the scottish national has changed its Constitution, that i am not sure of but i was of the belief that national pigeon have to go into wicker baskets , maye gareth could or frank123 could put us all in the picture here and if so that rules out the Lanarkshire big da as wish the fife fed all the best if they win the bid
