thanks Wattie , its damn cold just now , and most are not nest mates , its filled with shavings , they can keep each other warm in it .like a weaning box fer dugs. i made it a few years back , and dig it out every time i put young uns over .

Buster the walls need a lick of paint or a darn good clean . had hens in there all Winter , but its too cold , so maybe next year

Andy i wouldnt be worrying about a lick of paint. The wee ones look well and as Walter mentioned that wee shaving box is a cracking idea.

we got our ybs flying last weekend but with the few days in it's going to put them back and we have a fair bit of snow here :/

they will be out this week in the cage Andy,then locked in for a week ,then let out,will be strong on the wing tho.
