The answer is ME, Derek Hay,Glasgow, I made it possible for clubs in the UK to get a lottery Grant. The ironic thing is I am still unable to join a club in my area( since 2008 ).I was recently denied membership again from a club in the Glasgow federation. The club in question had a secret ballot on my application, which I think is illegal. They also use ets that was obtained through the lottery !!Needless to say, the vote was unanimous that I was denied membership????? The pigeon game is pathetic. ps. A letter of complaint was sent to the RPRA again.

No John,I appreciate what your trying to do but I shouldnt have to travel alot of miles to get my birds away. The LSC is a cracking club but is a specialist club , mainly in a federation that im also out of the radius. I dont have a club/fed but everybody else does. Its *expletive removed* nonsense.

Yet there are cheats, thieves and no users in the sport but I cant get a club, expletive remove

Gutted for you Derek, how on earth a club can have a secret ballot is beyond me, have the members no morals or do they prefer to hide. Its laughable that a club that has used the excuse in the past to keep you out that they have a membership limit of 20, but now have plenty of spaces and yet they now hide behind a secret ballot, absolutely shocking.

Its an absouloutley disgrace the way that you have been treated Del, as for a secret ballot and all the stramash that goes with it is totally unreel, its disgusting when you read things like this, and so called pigeon men keeping another out of the club is beyond belief, i just hope that you get a result from the RPRA at the end of it, an you get accepted into a club to fly your pigeons.

To me as an outsider, and a novice to the racing game, not to keeping pigeons i may add, this sums up our sport today, to much bitching, backstabbing, jealousy, and grumpy old geezers set in there ways, anybody wishing to join any club should be welcomed with open arms no matter what there reputation is, if he wins everything "SO WHAT" it should spur the rest to try and beat him, the bottom line is we all love pigeons and should always unite together........jmo Gavin
