Nature more often than not knows better than ourselves. Should it get that weak put it out of its misery then check its navel, ar$e & throat for signs of canker.

i have for some time said "the birds are a lot brighter than some folk" .i think they know something isnt right Buster , i would just let nature take its course . you could maybe place that youngster under a pair who have only had 1 hatch or ,a pair that havent had the eggs hatch . if you do the latter , make a note of the ring number ,i bet (from experience) if reared i can almost guarantee it wont amount to much.

rung a pair yesterday, the parents have now stopped feeding one of them any ides please

usullya sign something not right with it they know if a yb not right and stop feeding it give more to the healthy one bin it m8

first 3 eggs this morning ,1 in the race loft (both yearlings) 2 in the stock loft ,1 under a new pair .most the established pairs havent laid as yet ,day 10 today (some of the hens are a little on the fat side tho) :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Just put my first 8 youngbirds over into their own loft this morning. Another 21 following during this week. They all ran an huddled in the corner together.

If there feeding one they should feed the other no problem id put my money on that the yb is been chilled n prob brain damaged n cant eat if its in the same nest as one thats being fed the prob is the yb no the parents
