Guest Vic Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 :'( :'(I can just about remember when Scotland had class players, ie Dagleish,Law,Baxter, Bremner just to name a few. I honestly couldn't name one these days, who is anywhere near these guys. How many in the team tonight, actually are stars in our premier league. SAD BUT TRUE. :'( :'( :'( ;D
THE FIFER Posted March 28, 2009 Author Report Posted March 28, 2009 SCOTLAND GOT A GOAL BUT DISALLOWD, HOLAND GOT A PENALTY SO NOW 3-0 Holand :'(

jimmywylie Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 northern ireland v poland was a better game today ,good entertainment, especially from the holly goalie, wouldnt you agree alf?
THE FIFER Posted March 28, 2009 Author Report Posted March 28, 2009 the SNP want Scotland to have their own team for the olympics ?????
Fair Play Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 That lot were not much better than amateurs and have the cheek to take the cash. They are all going on about how the Dutch had so much more technical ability they are much the same size as us which proves we do not have the ability to nuture young players into the complete professional - no wonder Big Duncan gave it up to concentrate on his pigeons ;D
Guest Vic Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Big Dunc! Alas! Was the last great performer from the other side of the wall, (football wise ) But pigeon wise, who can ever compete with the very heart of doo racing from up north?

Vic, have you been on the nippy sweeties(evil)complimenting the "Jocks" Big Dunc was "shipped off" because he had too much heart and passion for the wimps now in the Beautifull game.

SAD BUT TRUE. :'( :'( :'( ;D Plus Souness, and are you forgetting Gemmil, strachen, three awe inspiring midfield players... John Robinso was a great winger... and there are many more... unfortunately 1978 was a case where they had an whole side of 'Names' and class players.... never realy welded together as a team, like so many Scots, most great individualist... But like I often say just look at thr great sides that had Scottish fire in their half back / midfield.
gangster Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 i know you got beat by 3 fifer but there are 2 l s in holland....lol
hotrod Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 i think the only glimmer of a decent player or two were young steven fletcher he held the ball up well and at least got a kick of it not like k.miller and the other boy mccormack looked as though he could be a real player although he got crowded out by 3/4 defenders every time he got the ball,THE REST I WOULD DUMP FOR SOME MORE YOUNG BOYS, what about barry ferguson scott brown darren fletcher they were posted missing, the ball went from our back to front and back again 90% of the game. utter crap.

Guest Freebird Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Aye, wee Jinky used to take an awfy hamering from defenders because they could'nt match him so to save time they'd just slam into him, that's if they could catch him. Jinky used to defy gravity with the things he could do with a ball.
Roland Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Aye, and England struggled with the 'Ole School Tie' and the will to bend over bckwards - a lot farther than was ever necessary to be fair.... Why were we calld B;ighty I suppose lol. An endless list, like Colin Milburn that just use to hit anyone every where... First of they said they wouldn't play him because it wasn't 'Orthodoxed' and used incorrect batting technigues lol.... final gave him a couple of caps to keep the real grass root fans happy.... then the tragic car crash.
