lastdrop Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Fabulous reporting of Barcelona race on Pipa site Live coverage including chronological maps showing where birds are arriving and when. Leaves this country miles behind
midnight_son Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Correct ! Would be great to have such facilities on our national websites. Doesn't seem that difficult to achieve with a relatively small amount of investment so maybe it will happen soon.

lastdrop Posted July 7, 2012 Author Report Posted July 7, 2012 Why not? Surely it,s in everyone,s interest. Many fanciers were bemoaning the lack of info from officials in recent weeks so they can,t have it both ways
DJWa Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Compulsory verification of each fanciers first pigeon is the first thing that is required, would the members in Scotland pass this at agm??? would prob work if the national sorted out their libline chargesbut it does take a bit of the antisipation out of ita lot of fanciers preforwaiting till you get to the marking station to see how you have got onjust like you do in club racing also not all fanciers have acess to phones at their lofts/ plots etc
hotrod Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 ive said this many years ago ,i would love to have a chip ring on the birds legs which could send a signal out say every 4 hrs and you could check on your computer where your bird is in race ,it gets activated at lib and could last for 48 hrs (battery life), if your bird was still in france after 4 hrs then you could forget about it winning , surely the technoligy is out there for this to happen ,just like the ets even inside the ets ring ? any thoughts ? maybe off topic so maybe get moved to e new board ?
midnight_son Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 I would certainly vote for it, I think the NFC website with the live preliminary result and the database facility is great and adds another layer of interest to the classic racing.
lastdrop Posted July 7, 2012 Author Report Posted July 7, 2012 Pictures of the winning fancier and bird on the web site already. Wearing his Pipa loft coat which looks :very: new
go go Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Any guesses where and what time the first bird will be in the UK.1 in ronford at 12/20 nigel lane
just ask me Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Pictures of the winning fancier and bird on the web site already. Wearing his Pipa loft coat which looks :very: new its the latest thing with pipa having fanciers wear there coats for pics its all about branding and marketing Belgium and Holland are so small they can have one of there employees with a fancier in a short amount of time after they have clocked they have someone working now in most regions of Belgium and Holland
