wee eck Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Lads at work are massive rangers supporters and can't get there head round why walter smith shows face when the deal is done all about money men now and the huge profits that await in a few years time i myself support leeds but worry for the future of the scottish game now ,will have a knock on effect right up to national level as if we're no suffering enough .cos now that the dirty work is done and the company has been liquidated they know how everything stands (apart from spl membership, and they will get in with penalties) they have to move before the players leave and they have now made sure that the fans wont be splashing out for season tickets any time soon, dont think it was a coincidence that mccoist was rumoured to be leaving on the same day !!Smiths consortium will probably have it bought by the end of the month ;)

sapper756 Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 better be careful as Rangers might join the english league and with in 5 seasons playing in the premiership while the rest of yous are eating dog sh** I some how doubt this very much Alan, the English leagues have no interest, nor need any of the Old Firm, Scottish football is dead in the water m8, very sadhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif
thunderbigbaws Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I some how doubt this very much Alan, the English leagues have no interest, nor need any of the Old Firm, Scottish football is dead in the water m8, very sad your right brian, no rangers just watch the other club dropping like stones and it will effect celtic big time
sapper756 Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 your right brian, no rangers just watch the other club dropping like stones and it will effect celtic big time yes Brian, putting aside the hate for each other, both Rangers and Celtic need each other, as do all the clubs in the Scottish Premier league, as they rely on the massive gate receipts they gather, when the 2 old firm teams visit. JMO
knoxjn Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 the massive gate receipts you talk about are a myth as your policing and stewarding costs go thrugh the roof alonng with the fact that fans wont go and be subjcted to the bile and hatred their away supports bring
clockman Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Dundee, could be premier league next year to take the newco place. Aye and only to get relegated again
VMS Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 the massive gate receipts you talk about are a myth as your policing and stewarding costs go thrugh the roof alonng with the fact that fans wont go and be subjcted to the bile and hatred their away supports bringThe bile and hatred exists within every teams support in Scotland not just the old firm. The problem lies with scottish society not Rangers or Celtic.

sammy Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Agree but alot of it on here is only banter between friends, but can get out of hand at times. wont be getting out of hand for a long time as there wont be any RANGERS and mankie games to argue about if as they say we go down to div three which i hope happens :001:
tiger Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Agree but alot of it on here is only banter between friends, but can get out of hand at times.its not banter its vile at times anything other than that is wrong, the banter part is okay but it needs to be kept in check.jmo

just ask me Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 its not banter its vile at times anything other than that is wrong, the banter part is okay but it needs to be kept in check.jmo i agree tiger i have removed some bad posts pms from members help a lot as its impossible for mods to read every post on every thread with even some threads having well in excess of 100 replies that can be up 8 9 or even 10 pages of reading when 99% of thread is great banter its a pity its not just old firm threads where things can get nasty pigeon related threads can too in fairness the last year or so the forum has being going brilliant with very few occasions where mods have had to remove posts or threads which leaves mods and members too enjoy the forum gone are the days where the notice board or my pm box asking where is my post or thread gone long may it continue is what i say as basics is a happy and friendly place to be with mods not removing posts it leaves them more time to set up things like the result board which took a fair amount of time there is also another few things in the pipeline like trying to celebrate a basics member excellent performance by a fancier or a if a fancier is flying a excellent pigeon this is only at the early stages at the moment but hopefully be another great addition to the forum
