I've been at Lockerbie twice today first about 6 am couldn't see top of the hills. Then on way home raining at abington with every sign saying heavy rain forecast. Headed back down just after nine and it was raining on and off all the way down and back up still haven't seen the top to the hills today great weather for racing pigeons :emoticon-0138-thinking:

now have 3/8 every pigeon soacked to the skin.

vince go and look at one of the satelite maps showing the rain downpours some are torrential same as yesterday when you get clear areas then heavy rain in other areas if your doos get caught in one of them there doon simple as that you will always get eratic gappy racing when you have heavy rain pockets crossing the country same as yest and today you can only hope some of your doos get through without getting washed down :emoticon-0156-rain::emoticon-0156-rain::emoticon-0156-rain:

The SW of the country wasn't fit to race into yesterday and if you looked at all of the weather maps Sunday was showing as by far the better day. Yes, there were showers - yesterday they were almost monsoon-like. You can't judge by how it was outside your own garden or loft or just in your town.

The birds will navigate round and some will attempt ploughing through belts of rain, granted - no legislating for how gappy a race like this can be, but hard determined birds will drive on.

Difficult tho it is, we have a 3yo hen with 3 National turns out still - cmon the mealy!! Best of luck to all waiting.. KTF
