blucock Posted June 3, 2012 Report Posted June 3, 2012 Your velocity is trouncing Lanarkshire by approx 220 ypm. Looks like that some daft lanarkshire pigeons with there stored up energy (conditioned for a 250 mile race) decided to burn of there fuel by heading to the west coast. Have no doubt that some Lanarkshire pigeons flew the distance of Wollaston and most likely further today, which will only stand them in good stead for the coming weeks. Did you win today Baz??? Yes mate were about 6 mins in front of two more then a bit of a gap from what I hear i think Mauchline winner is a good one at 10.15 but we may beat that depending on measurement(we havent got measurements for this lib site but we have for the other in Longtown). Same cock won Eastbourne and Ypres last year were hoping for more like 5 1/2 - 6 hours when we sent on Fri but at least home safe - Lanarakshire birds would have it hard today mate - best of luck for next week looks like 15-20 SW winds for sat

Novice Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 are u under some missconseption that the feds on the east routes are having a great raceing season? Quality post right to the point. Everyone is having a difficult season
Guest stb- Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Quality post right to the point. Everyone is having a difficult seasonvery true its happening all over with all the east winds and will continue if the prevailing wind stays in the east
lanarkshire lad Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 are u under some missconseption that the feds on the east routes are having a great raceing season?Wullie i fully understand that the fanciers racing from the east Side are getting it tough also. I also understand that losses are part and parcel of pigeon racing and have been since pigeon racing began and always will be from wherever you race them from. My OPINION on the subject is made up from experience gained from 40 years of continuous pigeon racing and also from experience gained from other genuine fanciers who have the welfare of the pigeons as top priority.
