I ended the day with 13/19. Wetherby Yb's a couple of years ago was a worse race than today's, the Conssett Races were worse than today's and a couple of Newark races were worse than today's. If i looked my race book i could probably find more races from the East that were worse than today's.

Was gonna put JMO on the end of that but its not an opinion its FACTS!!!! Suck it up and get on with it.JMO!!!

BTW, Very well done on your win Jim, you've been knocking at the door all year

john everybody has got an opinion an what happened the day but it doesnt get the doos home ive had doos a long time the same as you i can never remember a old bird race at 220 mls with more than 50% of the doos to come especialy the races out of newark which were tricky races but no to this extreme .just hope we get a better race the morra than we did the day but i dont think we will .well done jim a good winner

not into slagging guys of But the east of scotland /pentland had it hard today from newark so don,t think it was the west route , but do believe we have more disasters when the sun & moon are up at the same time .jmo

ps i have 12 /13 from Stafford with Midland .

At the club hut on Friday night at basketting, the old experienced fanciers made it clear that tommorow would be a bad race, this due to clear blue skies and easterly winds, they have experienced these races for decades going back to the fifties and sixties.

Todays easterly winds were quite strong and yet I have seen races from Newark in the past few Years with no wind with clear blue skies and returns have been poor with many many pigeons in those years been reported in Ireland which makes no sense at all.

So for those using the east / west devide for there excuse of why we had a bad race today, then look again, because plenty other feds have had it tough today.

Let's hope the doos make it home tommorow. Disappointed that I have only 16/30.

Wullie Otterburn at 78 miles has been a great race point for lanarkshire members as well, the feds doos have done this race blindfolded for the last 12 years.since using this lib site, so perhaps you could use a different race as a comparrison to a race nearly 3 times this distance especially on a tricky day, unless you want 12 otterburn's for the old birds and 6 Otterburn races for the young birds..wink
