Rooster J. Cogburn Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Dont know what the Paul Smith one is, but I've got one that worked for me in the past when neighbour had up to 20 cats at times,(his daughters' worked in cat shelter and brought them home) your welcome to it if you like Martin? Haven't used it in years. Does it involve a sling shot and some tatties like yer dad showed ye?

Guest IB Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 My link Try these across the roof back and sides of the loft mate. Save your money, and give the plastic spikes one a pass. Had these on top of 7 foot high wooden fence in my garden. Not long afterwards, saw the cat walking along it. It would be an electric fence for me.

Open Monday to Saturday. Might give you an idea for price, and what you'd need when you see it for real.
Roland Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Hi there, aye ready. Will out till later on today. But will look up How to make a Electric fence for £10 and P.m. you. have posted a few times on here etc. It is a constant guard. Legal and once a cat hasa jot - they can smell Electric they reckon - how ..... Any way they leave you well alone.
Roland Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 is that not what i'm trying to do roland never had a problem up until this close season with cats so if you would be so kind to supply me a website or firm that deals in electric fences then it would be most appreciated martinYep Martin, pleased to to. Look through these. Mains / Catteries etc. etc. You can buy a car battery charger for less thana tenner. Plastic / rubber make good insolators etc. One must make sure the rod or whetever is grounded is deep and sucure for instant results of course. Good luck mucker http://www.ehow.com/how_2122429_make-electric-fence.html Countrystores are next day delivery and have good discounts at moment if one wishes to buy a enigeriser etc. they do, as I say work on a loop, where as a battery charger is constant and a mite more of a jolt. They only get touched once. Some smother sardines on them first off to entice a cat to put it's nose on the wire. Never bothered to myself though.
aye ready Posted March 11, 2012 Author Report Posted March 11, 2012 thanks for all the replies it's looking like i'll go for the electric fence rolands option looks good will look into that further cheers

They canna be any slower than some o mine, I'v got cocks that dive under the dookit when you let them oot, they have been hawked in the past mind you, so they're no takin any chances.

peter pandy Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 just had a look at the site peter what one would you recommend? If you click on kits they give options. The energiser is what makes it tick and I went for the mains Copel M4. The reason being if the second bottom wire is lying on the ground it is earthing but still kicks out about 10,000 volts. The cheaper energisers drop quite considerably to perhaps 1,000 volts. Touched it this morning and my muscles are still twitching. By the way I had to purchase the 50 metre net but if you can get away with 25 metres then go for the cheaper energiser. P.S. Their are never enough posts in the kits and its wise to include an extra 10.P.P.S. If you have a pace maker its wise to also include the fence tester as you dont want to be touching it to feel if its working.
