Ian McKay Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Never visited any wee loft on islands Ian and have never entered a one loft race! I am only gan on this thread cos I followed for the last two years, Wul and John have had it tough in a very tough race prog and all I am sayin is that it is VERY tough!!! Of course we get bad races everywhere and its nowt new! Things are bad enuff in Scotland racing wise and if ye needed tae keep 233 babies tae get 10.3% back frae 100km then it would be deed?? I admire the fanciers that take part for their confidence and bravery but its way too tough for me mate!!!! Why nae footage of libs this year or am I just missin it? Footage was of libs from ships the are not that far yet (I think) but I can assure the guy that runs it will be sicker than anyone been there done it and got the T shirt

We dinny have tae gan tae the Canaries for disaster! Was there not one in England last year that returned nowt? My point is only that its TOO tough for me Best of luck tae all involved and ye can bet yer bottom dollar the winner earned its perch!!!
frank-123 Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 To me it could be the best one loft race, it's set up is fantastic. If it was moved inland rather than islands it might fair a bit better
ALF Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 To me it could be the best one loft race, it's set up is fantastic. If it was moved inland rather than islands it might fair a bit betterBut why do they keep going back to the same places they take a doing at Frank???? That's like me and you training fae Moffat all the time and losing 90% every time we go yet we keep going back to the same place it just disnae make sense mate

If it was moved inland rather than islands it might fair a bit better not too sure if they would get the distance keeping it on the island Frank??

Just my opnion but this is not pigeon racing it is a game of survival. i have just come back from the sun city race, and they got over 50% of entries to the final race after months of training. Now I do feel for this race as the facilities and information is second to none, but they cannot seem to get a succcesful race. Would it not pay to try a yearling race??
