Guest Dorset-lad Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Credit where credit is due, Michael Currie, going back to november last year just after i joiend PB i got chatting to Michael on here about the loft i was building and he gave me some advice, whilst we were chatting he asked me if i had any birds lined up i said no so he said if you would like i will breed you some, well i couldnt let an opportunity like this pass so i said that would be great if you could. so to cut a long story short instead of sending for these birds myself and mrs aranged to go up to moffat for a weekend and meet Michael, his wife Lannie and daughter Julie and we were made very welcome by Michael's family and friends. loved every minute of it. Well that weekend thinking id be coming back home with 12 young birds NO that didnt happen had a bit of a shock this man had only gone and GIFTED me 34 yes 34 youngbirds i was like a little kid in a toy shop. Well i never said nowt on here before as MICHAEL doesnt want publicty but it at to be said so i would just like to say.Michael you are one in a milion mate you deserve all the applauds and success you get. The best move i ever made joining PB because myself and my wife have made some very good friends in Michael/Lannie and Julie Currie. Dont know what else to say apart from thankyou MICHAEL friends for life all the best Brian and Isobel and family. I think if there were awards giving to people on here for helping others out you would be top off the list Michael

Rooster J. Cogburn Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Best pigeon I have probably ever been gifted was a blue cock from John McNeill when I was only 12.He was a bit later bred and I was told to keep him for stock,I didnae He was beaten to 1st NW fed South Section two weeks in a row by loftmates. They were on darkness,he was 12 weeks and 13 weeks old at the time and coming with them. The following season as a yearling he raced 10 races consectively out to Maidstone being the first pigeon or with the first pigeons 6 out of the 10 times-winning 3x1st and 3 x 2nd. It was then we decided to stop him and breed from him as John advised. He bred three 1st prizewinners as a two year old. Could do with a few more presents like him
