Anyone on here use the bamford mixes below? if so would you know the % of each ingredients please.

 

Cool Racer

A low protein racing mix with Super Quality Cribs Maize. Use especially for sprint racing and middle distance racing. For longer distances add Extreme Energy (concentrated fats). Can be used for Old Bird and Young Bird racing.

Ingredients: Cribs Maize, Safflower, White Dari, Paddy Rice, Red Dari, Popcorn Maize, Naked Oats, Wheat, Pro-tec, Peeled Rice, Mung Beans.

 

Fast & Fancy

With Super Quality Small Cribs Maize and Small Peas. Use for races up to 400 miles. For longer races add Extreme Energy (concentrated fats). Can be used for Old Bird and Young Bird racing. Also an ideal mixture for Fancy Show Pigeons.

Ingredients: Extra Small Cribs Maize, Popcorn Maize, Small Peas, White Dari, Safflower, Wheat, Toasted Soya Beans, Naked Oats, Tares, French Red Dari, Pro-tec, Buckwheat, Linseed, Paddy Rice, Mung Beans, Sunflower Kernels

have used there mixes in the past , prefer to use better quality brands now tho.

I used them last year but now work on the same principles using an alternative to Cool Racer.

bags i had of there stuff was dia wouldnt feed it to strags in town i harvest alot money worth corn every year for landowners all around warwickshire combineing crops so no good and crap corn when see it and was not impressed in there stuff i stick to versel laga now not had bad bag mate yet all best.

this year i used bamfords wizard mixes , as per there feeding chart , and was very happy with them for old and young birds, will be using them again next year for racing.

I Have their pamphlet with all the different mixtures in but they dont show a % of each corn in the mixtures,there are a few phone numbers in there that might be of use if you want them.

I don't think many suppliers make a point of giving that info on the label on each bag.

 

When I used Buckton, it was provided in descending order (largest portion first on the list, next largest next, etc) . In the earlier days there was also a bar chart showing High, Medium, Low - Protein, Carbs & Fat, the labels changed later to % - Protein, Carbs & Fat.

no suprise there , contacted them myself when i moved up here , phone calls , emails etc ,spoke to the area manager who said he would provide me with all the details prices etc so i could order a years supply etc . was still waiting come Blackpool show in January ,had a word with him there apologised and took all my details again ,blaming a new lap-top and would help me out when back at the office , now September ..... and still waiting .... wouldnt now touch there products for free .

I know a few guys who use Bamfords and they have no complaints. Some are changing from VL due to the price

i use bamfords and the irish mix is excellent quality

the cool racer has got the odd bit of stick /stone in it

but i think its still a good mix and ive won a few races flying on it

its very similar to gerry plus and with a bit of added maize

suits my needs out to about 260 miles

full twigs stones by any chance andy and corn dusty as hell what mine was like and 3 other local flyers was not impressed all said same not just one bag i had but all 5 bags i had of there stuff was all the same ya run ya hand threw it covered in dust stones twigs all to your own end of day but wont use nowt else now other then versel laga corn never had bad bag all best.

i used to buy Klaus (when back in Wales)a few from there range , found over a kilo of small stone in one sack of maple peas , wasnt very happy with that , but did continue to buy ,in the hope it was a bit of a one off. However my greivance has come from the fact that on the telephone ,via e-mail and face to face conversation the guy was sound , it appears in truth tho , he is serously lacking in both back bone and testicles , and that is my honest opinion only.

i had the twigs and stones like you bakes i think it was early this year apart from that in my 6 years of useing bamfords i have no complaints
