I,m thinking you should start a wee club in Lanarkshire to race out of Kelso every week Danny, maybe this would keep you happy. You could race on a Sunday morning and only if it was nice n sunny with a little East in the wind. If the weather turned nasty with a bit of a Westerly you would have the option to bring them back to Harthill. Anyone else interested in this kind of forward looking and progresive club please contact Big-Gub@pigeonbasics.org by PM.

you amaze me Henrik, with your forward thinking, :cry-blow: yep only for your self no other.why would any federation want to have there birds dragged up the east coast and then to discover your birds nackered and not fit to race in our own federations next race, and possibly not able to make it to Ypres also, that should have been a one off race from there also. we where quite capable to go it alone, but greed and the thought of riches, from duplications over ruled logic. i fly with the lanarkshire like most do, never flew with the lanarkshire to be gutted, by going with the national we fly for lanarkshire positions and fed averages, we do not need to be flogging a dead horse to get a timer, when conditions are not in the interest of our doos, we do not try and make it hard for our own fed birds wealth fare

so all we ask is don't put them up in as guess as to what the out come is going to be, as i will say this go tomorrow and the west section will not win the national, and there will be loads of birds missing from my federation, and thats what bothers me, i do not want to see the fall of the lanarkshire federation for the sake of the wealth of the national.

The best doo on the day in the conditions won the last race and I would think the same will apply tomorrow or whenever they get up. Lanarkshire are there because their members voted for it and if the conditions are not in their favour then thats the perils of national racing. Your turn will come again (not yours tho bigda cos your feart to enter)

LATE LIB WILL ALLOW RAIN IN NORTHERN ENGLAND AND THE BORDERS TO CLEAR SO HOPE THEY GO ABOUT 10/11 ish

Think that band of rain will hang aboot most of the day round Solway and the borders but if they get a good start Sammy they will come thru it as it looks like light stuff rather than heavy showers but ye never know!

Just watched the BBC weather forecast for Sunday, although the South and Mid England are expected to have a good sunny day with high temperatures, it also showed a band o f heavy rain right across the North of England and South of Scotland, all day

Will they take the chance and liberate knowing this?, as the early part of next week, does not look too good

I know that the weather changes

Hi mate, I dont think when they have done the first 200miles a band of showers will stop them, as long as they get a clear start at it. Looking at the wind the birds will head up the east coast , so best of luck. No chance of lib monday or tuesday by the looks of it, so guess is Sunday best

rain in NI and borders? How does that affect lib from south coast? 11 lib means half the country wont get day birds (north and west) imo if they're not up by 9am then they shouldn't go... only my opinion though. But bear in mind it will take 6 hours plus to get to the border area and as for NI any birdmaking NI on the day (or Ayrshire) should get a medal :emoticon-0136-giggle:
