John ,jimmy dals hoddam dynamo has got a first and third open to its credit along with a list of other wins, including last years gold cup going for its gold award this year and i bet anyone if it is fortunate enough to get to the start line and gets a clear run we will not have to look very far from the top of the result to find it ,anyway best o luck for 2011 and if we are really wanting to win nationals only one answer to that mate move house :egyptian:

John the point i am trying to make is he was timing them on the shift with perhaps only thirty to forty birds being timed on the day ,from a convoy in those days of approx 7500 at the gold cup now that is a helluva doos behind you ,when derrick nordon was 1st and second open with anniversary girl and danny boy i think when i spoke to derrick that marking night he had approx seven away but everyone had a top ten open position from the gold cup CREAM COMES TO THE TOP no matter where you send them no matter about the direction the best will be at the front and the other 90 plus percent will be also rans

as you say the cream ill come to the top, so you have no problem with a easterly race then

Good points of interest there chris ,example Leige annan 475 moffat505 hamilton 532 edinburgh514

Would that not prove that if the west birds were racing up the east as they are being trained each week to do so they would break across before the edinburgh area that does not give them enough mileage to compete surely they have to come on line with ours annan moffat and over the top of the hill behind me and thats them home cut out the dogleg ,mind you if i were to get a good one edinburgh no going to beat me at nine miles overfly Leige Leige Leige :emoticon-0157-sun:

IF YOU race out of Blavand, the distances are blavand Ffrazerbourgh. 412MILE

ANNAN 450MILE

GLASGOW 483MILE

AND BERWICK 396 MILE

THAT IS THE TRUER RACE POINT

OF ALL AS IT IS FAIR TO SAY THE MEASUREMENT FROM EYE MOUTH IS ABOUT 90MILE TO GLASGOW TRUE MILES

WISH THEY WOULD COME OVER YOU AS IT WOULD BE A DIRECT LINE THEN ,,BUT SADLY WHEN THE BIRDS COME NOW YOU LOOK FOR THEM FROM THE EAST OR NORTH EAST AS THEY SEEM TO GO RITE UP AND CUT IN ALONG THE FORTH ESTUARY ALL THE TIME NOW ,, NOT SEEN BIRDS COME FROM THE SOUTH FOR MANY YEARS AS THEY USED TO COME :cry-blow:

Surely that has a lot to do with your birds not being trained on this line ,i get most of mine home the bop cant catch them all once over the hills here your birds would get a good run home ,watch the midland birds race through here on a saturday and they are going really well sure do get some batches turning after being struck but sure that is happening all over ,good luck for 2011 :scotland:
