Ladies and Gentlemen it would be of great help if you could assitt an autistic unit in Lanark which my son David has the privillage of attending called the A Team.

The A Team as it is known has been short listed for the Royal Bank of Scotland community fund with two other community groups within the Lanark area for the £3000.00 award.

All that would be required from you is too follow the following steps which should take less than two minutes to complete.

Some additional details of why the A Team should be awarded the £3000.

What does your charity/project do?

The A-Team after school club supports children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) in play/social activities and provides their parents with valuable respite. The children take part in a variety of activities. As our club is autism specific, all children are able to access and enjoy social activities.

How does your charity/project support the local community?

The A-Team club supports the community by providing a much-needed service for children with ASD in the area. We are currently training volunteers from the local community to come and work at the club, allowing them a better insight into and understanding of autism and to encourage community spirit.

What do you plan to use the Community Fund money for?

We would use the fund to purchase some much-needed new equipment that the children have asked for. We would also like to buy some new resources for group activities as they help the children develop many social/life skills. The children would also like the opportunity to go on an outing locally.
