budgie Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 With the countdown to mating for some not far away would you pair up birds on frozen dark days.
dal2 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 With the countdown to mating for some not far away would you pair up birds on frozen dark days. Will try but prepared for long wait wae old stock and young hens
Diamond dave Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Yup, birds have been split for about 4 weeks now and they will go back together in about another 3 weeks. Its a waste of time messing about with young hens, or trying to change pairings. Only previously paired birds will lay out without any problems but then you must be prepared for about 25% infertile eggs - you just have to hope its not your best pairs. D.D.
sapper756 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 What is the earliest date you can pair birds up, to ensure you have the rings to ring them?http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif
