I was lucky and unlucky and have been left with a nice team of young birds 21 in all wich is more than I usually have.The birds were racing well and I expected them to take a few tickets when I took ill,I obviously stopped them because I couldn't cope.I don't like late breds and try my best to avoid them unless they are something special and heading for the stock loft.

I have had to get some late breds in this season so i could have pigeons to fly next season

As on our first youngbird race the birds had a very bad start, our fed liberater released our pigeons not checking the weather at our end on the fed We still had rain & fog when they liberated. I sent 23 lost 17 never to be seen again

I've bred more than usual, had the majority of them trained to 20mls about six times, some of them were single tossed at 30mls.Nowt wrong with a good latebred some of my best doos have been latebreds.

Same here Jim, over the years we have had many good latebreds, though there are more important things that latebreds have to do now.

I used to train my latebreds until they fell into heavy moult. I think I will continue training them all winter from now on. The only problem is the B.O.P, I hope they dont get any.

still got 54 of the 64 i startedthe race season with raced the whole yb program gotta make some more nest boxs now no l8 breds here apart from a cple of specials i bought in

I also brought some well bred Yb's in from a couple of good lofts, though they could have raced i decided to let them sit 'til next year. (25 birds in the section including the LB's) I admit i have a few too many doos now but i will sort them out in time.

My best birds over the last 10 years have all been latebreds and i wouldn't go a year without them

I never train my latebreds, at the yearling stage i treat them just like those who have raced.

My Da preached that same ethos to me and i was a believer, but i don't think it makes enough difference in the long run though so i just let them sit now Jim.

I have some latebreds. But 'till now can't get out. There's a pair of Sparrowhawks that used to live to one of our neighbours trees around 300 yrds away from us. Last wednesday afternoon, approaching to our car park. Its even worse, its just opposite side of the road when I've seen again 2 Sparrowhawks right on the top of our neighbour garage. I walk around, 'till I realize that one of our neighbour has a bird table on their front garden. I have never seen this bird table before & never have seen this Sparrowhawks either that been so close to our house.

JOHN CAN YOU TELL US WOT ARE THE RESULST OF THESE LATE BREEDS IN THE LAST 10 YEARS I DONT MEEN TO BE DISRESPECKFULL JUST INTERESTED TO SE IF ITS WORTH HAVING THEM BECAUSE TO ME IF THERE NO GOOD IN THE FIRST NEST THAY WONT BE GOOD IN THE 2ND NEST

hi! some of my ybs that i have bred this year, I have already lost it eventhough i haven't train them yet. Every fanciers having experience missing ybs on their training. But, lossing my ybs on their just exercise & seing chaised by Sparrowhawks its quite hard to take.

lucky i am left with 36 out of my 54 so got a nice team for next year only got the 4 late breds and they are all ready spoken for going to england
