sapper756 Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 I heard today that Jocky King;s top National hen, Mary, who has flown the chanel a total of 11 times, and I believe she has 9 SNFC Diplomas, was reported dead by a vet somewhere down south, she had been missing from the recent SNFC Clermont racehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif what a top doo she was!
Delboy Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Absolute tragedy, what a fantastic hen she was. Very sorry to here this news
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Has to be seen as the best bird that has flown in Scotland in a long time, sorry to have heard of this.

Guest Davy Fleming Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 All in the one season sapper ?????
sapper756 Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 All in the one season sapper ????? as far as I am led to believehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif was told thid today.
Guest IB Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 I am told she was at Bovington and Reims prior to the Clermont race. I knew the bird had been timed in SNFC races this year, wasn't sure which ones though. Still, I wonder on the work Mary was given this year, as I consider an Inland plus Reims is enough for my pigeons, and at 8 y-o, maybes enough for Mary too. Sad end.
Delboy Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Jocky King is a top doo man and he would know if Mary was up to it or not at Clermont. How did she die, was it a hawk attack ?
Guest Davy Fleming Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Was told last night from Davy Gullane that John McNeil and Jocky King had been speaking to each other in morning and Jocky said it was a heart attack
Pego Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Very sad news she was a one in a million channel hen.
