one big club has got to be better than several small clubs just look at the belgian races with tens of thousands of birds in there nationals

you are missing the point here , as you say its a demand for inland nats and its the members that vote correct ,

 

by having the inland national the national has opened up to a load of members who are not interested in 500ml plus channell racing at all.

 

they like the middle distance racing and it shows by the entries ,

 

they are all members and entitled to vote but the thing is they are now out numbering the guys that want to go to the channel races .

 

these guys may go to the agm and vote for another inland national ??

and you may eventually find that there votes are a lot more than the distance minded fanciers in the near future , having the inland nats has brought in a lot off none distance minded fanciers which the tradition of the snfc was not about, it was to promote cross channel racing .

 

the way its going as most feds dont have there own coast race

 

the first uns will be leicester and the gold cup will be bovingdon .

I think it already happens in England and I don't think it has any affect on these club's distance races.

The point aboot the nats is that some members are not likin the chop un change. If we are gan tae race frae the east then the solway fed has tae gan east so were no racin yin wae half the year frae east then another for the remainder. SPRINTERS: The threads that ive read on here concernin the south and their ability frae the distance makes me wonder wot kind o race points we would have tae race frae! We already have a split,however small, so a sprinter race might completely knacker the south.

Why cant the SNFC hold there meetings somewhere, like more centralised so that all who is members of the mighty SNFC can attend then, i dont see why they cant doo this, because there is plenty owe halls that could hold the SNFC members.

 

Then you would get a better turn oot, as more guys from various areas would turn up and vote, JMO.

yes weel they should just be left wae there inland sprint nationals

 

and the S N F C sould be for channel racing only which it was created for , 2 inland nationals and there is nae birds left for 4 channel races now , get the inland back to the clubs feds and combines etc and leave the distance to the SNFC

Tae be honest alan, And I'll probs get crucified for sayin this, but if the SNFC meetin was held in Moffat then a poor turnoot frae the south might still happen. Doon here we still expect that cos we are so few that we can dae no good wherever the meetin is. Maybe a postal vote per loft may help?

Well that would be fine, i have just been a member owe the mighty SNFC for 2 years and mentioned that to the auld timers, shot doon right away, what for, its in there constituation, ave never heard so much fecking rubbish in awe ma days,

I've only been an SNFC member a few years, but in that time the route has never changed, only some of the race points. I'm not a Sprint person myself, and I wasn't suggesting SNFC run one, only pointing out that there were some on the forum who felt there was a demand for it. If that demand was picked up by SNFC I probably wouldn't be sending, but I would not vote against the race.

 

I have no axe to grind with South Section or the fanciers in it, and yes I agree there are a lot of distance fanciers there, you only need to look at the results to see that.

Bobe when a talk aboot the guys up North, am no only talking about the guys from Eberdeen, what aboot the guys further North, they are members as well of the mighty SNFC, i dont no where the right place is to have the meeting, all am saying is to have it more central so all can attend if wish be,

the best post yet not a squeak from anyone from the north . from looking at this thread from a nutral point its seems that its the overfly thats determing the race points . like cem says why not have the agm in the likes of dundee then we would get some of the north fanceirs going to it . as for race points i will race from anywhere i,m personaly not realy bothered you,se can squabble amongst yourselfs the old school in the club i,m in all they speak about is the rennes weekend it was the race they all looked forward to why did we change .i for one enjoy the inland nationals but why dont we just have the one from eastnourne and have it after the gold cup race this may push the birdage up for it as some fanceirs are losing there doos they intend to send across the channel at the inland nationals .jmo
